On World Creativity & Innovation Day, @pidfloors was honored to return to the @unitednations once again as both participant and premier sponsor of the @ny11plus Design Fundraising Event and Luncheon. This was a day of joy and impact spent celebrating the exceptional work of New York State interior design’s next generation, bringing together talented students from NY11+ member institutions, and recognizing visionary leaders and educators whose influence continues to shape the future of the design industry and discipline. The 2026 theme was “Critical Interiors: Design for All,”emphasizing the profession’s expanding responsibility to shape environments that support dignity, inclusion, and quality of life across diverse populations. Featured honorees whose work reflects leadership in inclusive and socially responsible design included: Jennifer Graham | @perkinswill , Kiki Dennis | @tenberke_architects , Rose Novak | @gensler_design , & keynote speaker Joel Sanders | @jsamixdesign . As a premier sponsor, PID Floors was honored to contribute $5,000 in student scholarships supporting this year’s awards and advancing NY11+’s commitment to inclusive design education. Student scholarships were awarded to eight remarkable interior design students from participating NY11+ member institutions including: @fitnyc , @mynyit , @nysid , @parsonsschoolofdesign , @prattinstitute , @svanyc , @syracuseu , & @villamariacollegebuf . April 21st, 🌎 World Creativity & Innovation Day, was a hallmark day for @pidfloors . We were incredibly honored to be both participants and sponsors of a profoundly meaningful design event and luncheon which took place at the @unitednations in New York City: @ny11plus Luncheon at the UN: “Fostering Innovation to Address Design World Challenges and celebrating the intersection of creativity, sustainability, and forward-thinking design.” This luncheon brought together UN delegates, global mission representatives, students, and top design industry leaders to celebrate the role of interior design in shaping sustainable and inclusive communities. We were thrilled to have Susan Kaplan and Currie Gardner from @hlwinternational , Emma Bernstein from Project Horizon @sunflowernetwork.io , and Elisabeth Perreault from @cannondesign , join us as PID Floors’ special guests and presenters.   Our family company has always been about more than just hardwood flooring—it is about crafting extraordinary design experiences and sharing our knowledge with others.
