What a year - 2023 was truly transformational.
What started as a grassroots effort, raising money for medical supplies and generators in an old NYC hair salon, grew into the delivery of $4M worth of life-saving aid. We soft launched Project Horizon in April, stood on stage at the Clinton Global Initiative in September and held multiple cultural events from screenings to exhibitions to fashion shows from January through December.
We have another impactful year ahead and are privileged to continue to work hand in hand with such brilliant global and local individuals and organizations to make it all happen.
We have big plans for 2024. We hope you follow along.
‘Building a healthy future for Ukraine’
War affects all areas of life, attacking normality and destroying functioning systems. In Ukraine the healthcare system has taken relentless bombardment, making it inaccessible to many, unevenly distributed and vulnerable. The World Health Organization recorded more than 1000 deliberate attacks on Ukrainian healthcare in the initial 15 months of war… the situation has only worsened over time.
Sunflower Network’s Project Horizon is dedicated to rebuilding Ukraine’s healthcare infrastructure, striving for a future of accessible, high-quality healthcare. Significant progress has been made in advancing this project - from assembling a global coalition of private and public leaders to signing the MOU with the local municipality. 🌻
