MAKERS MADE has organised a raffle to raise urgent funds for humanitarian aid.
We have a wonderful selection of over 40 prizes, including ceramics, cushions, lighting and artworks, all donated by our makers in solidarity with the people of Palestine.
We have united in a collective act of care to raise funds for The Gaza Sunbirds, a grassroots Palestinian charity working to provide community-led aid. Your donation, no matter the size, will help provide life-saving support. The raffle will end on September 28th. Please note entries are open to UK only.

@chelsea_vivash 🪵
Chelsea Vivash uses traditional marquetry techniques to create contemporary, undulating forms. She gathers veneer that's surplus from large industry projects and transforms the pieces into beautiful homeware, from mirror frames to lamp bases. Chelsea's background in Fine Art informs the way she uses wood, seeing her process as a form of drawing.
“Marquetry was a perfect discovery for me, as it combines my love of drawing with my woodworking skills. My pieces aim to enhance the beautiful textures of wood grain. I want the viewer to get up close and explore the details of the natural patterns. I aim for the colours and shapes to bring a sense of balance to a room, creating pieces that are both calming and stimulating at the same time.”

Multi-media maker Hannah Baxendale creates vibrant, playful pieces that aim to inject joy into everyday rituals. Her work experiments with texture and form, juxtaposing materials and colours to create a feeling of "good unexpectedness". Based in the northeast of England, Baxendale reinterprets traditional craftsmanship and processes, especially glassblowing, making pieces that are functional artworks.
"This is not the kind of delicate, polished glasswork that sits behind museum glass. Her pieces are playful, honest, textured. A chunky vase in bold, childlike colour. MAKER NEWS! 📣
The brilliant @cuttsandsons will be leading two banner making workshops at @gatherandstitchlondon on Saturday 6th of September: 10-1pm or 2-5pm.
"This is a fundraiser for our friends in Ga za; and an opportunity to craft in solidarity with each other."
Jessie, maker of many incredible banners as well as her quilts and wall hangings, will be leading the workshop, supported by portialawrie, @stitchodyssey and @oldfashionedway .

Evie Adams is a ceramicist and illustrator based in the South East. Living and working between Hastings and Rye, Evie's work is inspired by the local medieval heritage and folklore, surrounding natural environment and a fascination with kitsch mid-century trinkets. She's developed a visual language of charming characters and motifs, which she applies to both her ceramics, prints and commercial illustration commissions.

Fine Artist and co-founder of MAKERS MADE @rosieharbottle is currently showing a new collection of paintings and drawings at @eastwoodfineartltd in Hampshire, alongside Julia Maleeva and @laurance_ceramics .
Rosie’s collection is all about the feeling of Spring - that burst of energy when everything starts to grow again. She says,” I’ve been really inspired by those first little shoots and flowers pushing their way through the soil, using everything they’ve got to reach the light. It’s a bit like nature throwing confetti - colourful, joyful, and full of hope. It’s a celebration of new beginnings and the resilience of nature as it reawakens.”

British painter and op art pioneer Bridget Riley (b. 1931) working in her London studio in the 1990s. Riley works first in paper to develop her ideas before recreating the collages in oil paint.

Beki Bright is a textile designer creating screen printed cushions, lampshades, wallpaper and fabric by the metre, made from start to finish in London. Beki draws inspiration from the rural landscape, with references to her childhood in Suffolk and recent years in Somerset, as well as folklore and countryside rituals.
