Woodfiring for Palestine Raffle Potters gathered from near and far with pots inspired by jarrahs from Palestine to fire together in solidarity with its people now enduring their 29th month of intense bloodshed at the hands of the state of Israel and its allies. Our first firing took place in North East Scotland in howling winds and sleet snow and despite our best efforts to raise the kiln’s temperature enough, we didn’t make it past 1000 degrees. Two weeks later we managed to fit our pots into a community kiln in Angus with a much smoother firing and some really beautiful results. We didn’t give up on the pots, we will not give up on fighting for the liberation of the Palestinian people and all oppressed people. Each pot is now available via individual raffle. See below for how to enter to be in with a chance to win the pots I have made. The pots I am raffling are a pair of Jarrah inspired bottles, fired with @caraguthrieceramics local Scottish wood ash glaze. Please note one has a small surface level crack on the join at one of the handles. How to enter: 1. Make a donation directly to the Sameer Project — each £5 counts as one entry ie. £10 = 2 x entries and so on. 2. Screengrab your donation and send it to [email protected] along with your name. 3. Keep an eye out in your inbox. The winner will be drawn at random on 30th April and emailed privately to confirm details. Things to note: 1. Entries open worldwide. I will cover shipping costs. 2. Unlimited entries. Please donate as much as you can. 3. You can enter the raffle for other potter’s work too but each entry donation screen grabbed to me will be for the draw to win my pot only. Please check out the other raffles from the other potter’s taking part: @caraguthrieceramics @caitlinmrobb @kevinandrew.morris @_saraguerreiro_ @saskia_pomeroy @lily.pearmain.ceramics @studio.cogais @springfieldclaystation
