Elephant Bird Egg stand, Highgate, 2024
My most curious commission to date, I was asked to design a display stand for a 30cm tall fossilized egg, belonging to the now-extinct Elephant bird, a huge, flightless bird from Madagascar that died out somewhere between 1400-1600. There are believed to be only 40 of these beauties in public collections.

Bespoke donut swing made for a client in Highgate by @williamjamesbryan
When the clients asked for a swing my first thought was something in between a tire swing and the HAY donut by @sabine_marcelis - I asked @williamjamesbryan to design and manufacture this idea which now hangs proudly in the clients entrance hall. @williamjamesbryan extreme talent! The base is made from solid walnut with pink powder coated chains holding onto 3 pegs. On top sits a foam donut upholstered in a green boucle.

Private Commission in Highgate, London.
The brief for this project was to design a swing seat for an atrium space in a private residence. Thanks to the very talented @oliver__lyttelton for getting me involved, it was refreshing to have so much freedom to create joyful objects for some likeminded clients.
The seat consists of a slab of handturned walnut, recycled foam upholstered with @designersguild bouclĂŠ and three powder coated steel chains.
