@makers.made is the new destination for handmade homewares! A digital space, with much more to follow. Today it launches with over 70 independent artisans, based in the UK.
By gathering artists together around a set of shared values, MAKERS MADE aim to shine a light on the importance of the handmade and to build a community around the beautiful homewares that makers create, while sharing stories and processes from behind the scenes.
Uniquely co-founded by five artists, MAKERS MADE wonât take any cut from makers on the site.

2024 - a year where a lot happened! thankfully all good stuff, but itâs felt likes itâs been just keeping head above water for long stretches, and towards the end of the year Epoch naturally took a back seat. trying to put 8 hours a day stood in front of a loom in a cold studio whilst youâre pregnant does present some challengesâŚ.
Along side my freelance textiles work, our family became a four, I tied the knot to my amazing partner Chris and we renovated our kitchen using our dream worktop by @_foresso
2025 will be a slower start as I take some time off to look after the new baby - but I promise this year I will finally finish the big rug I have been endlessly weaving - and finally open the books back up to commissionsâŚ
launching the first wall hangings Iâve made on the store - today! - after a few busy months of non-Epoch related life-happenings.
these were actually the first thing I made in the studio when we made the move to Margate 18 months ago - I know people have hung some of my pieces before but Iâve always wanted to make something more dedicated and bespoke to an âexhibitedâ format; developing the shapes and structures into something new without feeling completely in a new world from floor rugs. It took a while!
the first is live on our store now, sold framed.
last minute cushion drop in time for Christmas!
each is unique depending on the cut of the pattern. 45cm x 45cm
please note these will be sent without innards because that would make the postage insane - (you can pick these up for very little basically anywhere-recommend 52cm x 52cm for decent floof!)
Made in the UK; 70% merino 30% cotton
live on the website now
