BENCH SEATS ✨Written and directed by Courtney DeStefano, starring Arielle Goldman, Sarah Steele, Dan Lauria, Annie Braverman, Jordan Baker, Shavanna Calder; and produced by Mélisa Brenier-Sanders The film is about a pivotal summer in Dani’s life, told in vignettes in her mom's car. With a ton of driving scenes, the scheduling restraints of working with a minor, and being set in the 80s, we chose to film most moving car scenes on a stage. Although I had done some process trailer work previously, the LED volume with the added dimension of driving plates was a fun new way of thinking about car shots. Luckily we had incredible support from @luis_fels and @steadisully at @arri_rental (and it was Arri stage’s first official car stage shoot!)
