Zarbalatrax Another short film I got to lens for @schlungus ! This one full of practical effects and custom animatronics. We endured some brutal weather shooting in Seattle, WA but the whole crew pushed through. Huge shoutout to my G&E team especially - they got drenched, trudged through mud, ran hundreds of feet of cable, and accomplished large scale setups despite having a small team. My camera team were always on top of it and allowed me to focus on the visuals and creative. I am fortunate and thankful to have worked with everyone who contributed to this project. We were fortunate enough to be sponsored with a Venice 2 package by the Sony DMPC, which was a huge boon to our production. As I post this, I’ve just touched down in Seattle to attend the films first festival, @nfftyfilm ! Strawberry Cobbler Finally sharing some stills from one of the most fun short films I’ve gotten to take on. It was a treat getting to film in Skagit Valley, Washington in the summer with a kickass crew of wonderful people. We shot this on an Alexa Mini with Zeiss Super Speeds, and man do I love those lenses. The whole project is an experience I reflect on often.
