Hey New Yorkers, MOME's got incredible new opportunity for our city’s aspiring TV writers.
Applications are open for the Moonshot Pilot Accelerator, an initiative that works to increase the representation of woman and gender-expansive folks in writers’ rooms. @moonshotinitiative
MOME's funding the first-ever #MadeinNY fellow, ensuring that at least one emerging TV writer selected to the highly competitive program is a New York City resident.
Once selected, this lucky New Yorker will have the opportunity to pitch their TV pilot to studios, production companies, and representation including Netflix, @levelforward , @atlanticpictures and @kaleycuoco 's Yes Norman Productions.
Visit moonshotinitiative.org (link in story and bio) for more info on how to apply. Good Luck!

Congratulations to Manhattan’s Team Eagles from New Explorations into Science, Technology and Math Middle School @nestmsoars on their @NYCSchools middle school Minecraft Battle of the Boroughs challenge win this year! #NYCVideoGameFestival
For these gifted students, @Minecraft 's more about playing video games. They learn coding, city planning, and excel at public speaking. They can continue their education in the field by attending colleges that offer video game design programs, including @ccnycitycollege 's Gaming Pathways, which MOME supports. With these tools and training, they'll thrive in careers in digital games.
Shout out to @DOEChancellor , and all the people at @NYCSchools that made this possible, the MOME team led by Alia Jones-Harvey, and a huge thanks to the parents and educators in the room for helping your kids to be a part of this day.

Our team at @madein_ny worked for months with city agencies, the production, and community stakeholders to reduce the impact of the film on Chinatown, and keep people moving responsibly.
Roughly 1,100 people worked that day and over $250k was invested in the local community. A reminder that when production comes back to #nyc the right way, it creates more than an unforgettable moment. It creates real opportunity.
That’s what Made in NY is all about.
