The actor expressed how thrilled he is to be back doing his first love, #theatre: “It’s one of those things, theatre, if I leave it too long, it becomes a scary thing,” admitting he may have gotten a bit too used to the “safety net” of multiple takes while filming.
“Theatre is still always something that I love to do, when I can. It’s rewarding and you feel so lucky and privileged to be doing this.”
Turner arrived at our photoshoot in central London straight from another full day of rehearsals at the
@NationalTheatre , where his new play was due to open.
“I had months and months of travelling back and forth between Bristol, where #Rivals was filmed, and London [where he lives with his wife and four-year-old son], and I thought it would a great idea to take one weekend off after I wrapped for Rivals and go straight into a really intense rehearsal for this play,” he laughs.
