The Rambler is generously cut and super-lightweight. It is buggy-lined over the shoulders and otherwise gutted of all internal structures, leaving a beautiful, rudimentary shell. The superfine Italian woven twill is spun from a decadent cotton-silk blend with a little elastane for dynamics. The waist has a drawcord with brown leather toggles, there are slanted chest hand-warmer pockets and deep bellows pockets for stuff, a clean looking shielded two way zipper and nifty action back vents. A famous duo.
So you’ve always wanted to wear a denim jacket and then you do it and you feel like a 6 year old kid with spiky gelled hair called Buster. Buster isn’t even a name. Solution: the Sonny jacket. Sonny is a unisex denim jacket made from soft and pliable Italian organic cotton denim, in Italy, by the very same denim masters making our jeans. Its patch pockets and collar band make you look tough, but cute too, and cool, and also quite sexy.
If you want the full look we have the new Sonny jean for men and the Helen jean for women. Sonny is a high waist, snake-hipped and faintly bootcut jean with a little sex appeal. The Helen is a loose, straight-as-a-die jean designed to hang on the hips. Pulled together with the Sonny you have a playful indigo duo in a perfected fresh wash of blue.

In denim we have created a super-chic set consisting of the new unisex Sonny jacket and the new Helen Jean. They are made in Italy from the same perfect mid-wash of Italian organic cotton denim. Helen is wide leg jean designed to wear relaxed and partly over-sized. The jacket has three patch pockets and a band collar. Groovy.

Our high Winter collection is now in store and we have accounted for all manner of chills from faint to interstellar. To our woolly mammal friends we are indebted, whether it be merino sheep, cashmere goats, or alpaca, they have lent us their finest fibres so you can be insulated in all sorts of heirloom-worthy P Johnson treasures.

The P Johnson men’s Winter collection is ready even though the season itself it seems is not. Regardless, in this collection we have emerged from the trenches with many dutiful outerwear pieces, in all sorts of weights to combat our mixed climes. There are not-so-subtle military undertones in many of these pieces - a pragmatism, born of their necessity, dusty from duty, useful, able and ample. In tailoring we have sought sober colours, dry touch yet dynamic fabrics and some more decadent yet masculine flannels covered with soft and generous coatings.

Roberta is a beautiful chocolate coloured minidress, fashioned from a custom Italian silk jacquard. Each piece is different in its motif placement, making each unit unique. The tufted jacquard ends move as you move and the shapes are relaxed and dynamic. The dress features rouleau straps and a concealed side zip, and is silk lined for a pleasant sensation.

The RD jacket and trouser sets are arty, mellow and have a distinctly friendly quality to them. The name is inspired by one of our favourite painters Richard Diebenkorn. We imagined he would routinely wear one of these sets while charging his canvasses or lovingly schooling the next chapter of talent at UC Berkeley back then.
Great shoes seem at first to disappear, allowing for an outfit, not robbing it, beckoning closer inspection or a second look. The P Johnson Sophia sandal has a beautiful, fine and quiet shape that does just that.
