I cannot adequately share how deeply grateful I am that I’m able to call many of our time’s greatest artists my friends and collaborators. I thank my higher power every day for this life I get to live.

A truly brilliant artist has ascended. Working with Asha Bhosle on Hard Rain was legit one of the great honors of my career. I revere her work, and have collected so many, many of her brilliant LPs. Ty yet again to Kronos Quartet & especially David Harrington for taking my idea to feature her as a singer on the track and bringing her onboard… wow. Meeting Ashaji as I WhatsApped into her Hard Rain session in Bombay was so incredibly meaningful. My deepest condolences to her dear granddaughter Zanai, son Anand, and all of her family and friends. And thank you again, Asha, for your brilliance and generosity!! To call you a collaborator is a dream come true, and something I will treasure all my days. Bless you in your travels. May we all live to 92 and leave a beautiful body of work and loving family when we go!
Amy & I caught my friend and now two time album collaborator(!) Allison Russell as Persephone in Hadestown on Broadway- HOOOOOLY SHIIIIT!!!! THE DEFINITION OF AMAZING!!! Allison is one of the greatest artists- and has one of the tenderest hearts- of our generation. If at all possible, catch her in this show, she’s a guest star and won’t be there forever. And expect to hear from all three of us soon about the Be Good / Ice Out campaign, supported by the ACLU, at this year’s Grammys!

I’ve been doing some music coordination on the SUN RA: Door of the Cosmos @sunradoc film - this was a doc collab with the great Adam Shore @blackenedmusic for it. Was beautiful to introduce @laraaji_official & @marshallallenofficial as we’d all made the @redhotorg@kronos_quartet LP ‘Outer Spaceways Incorporated’ together but were never all in the studio together. Bravo to the doc team! Then this morning caught a breathtaking showcase by @sopercussion & @heladonegro - when they drop a record, it’s gonna be everyone’s fookin’ fave of the year! In the meantime, catch So Percussion at @carnegiehall on Jan 23rd. 🙏💛🤘🚀
