Working under a Construction Management model, SHAPE Geelong refurbished Allianz’s newly configured office space within a tight six‑week programme. The project transformed the tenancy with new meeting and focus rooms, a wellness area, open workspaces, and upgraded building services. We are thrilled to share a few photos from the recent opening of the new Mark Taylor Oval Pavilion at Waitara Park in Hornsby, officially opened by former Australian cricket captain, Mark Taylor AO. @marktaylorofficial Mark played with Northern District Cricket Club after moving to Sydney as a teenager. He was Test opening batsman from 1988 to 1999, as well as captain from 1994 to 1999, succeeding Allan Border. Mark retired in 1999 and was awarded Australian of the Year the same year, recognising his significant contribution to Australian culture. We are honoured to have designed this pavilion dedicated in his name. Rather than demolish the existing grandstand, our proposal introduces a ‘complementary twin’ to sit respectfully alongside the existing building. The new building provides community facilities including an elevated club and community room, with kiosk, public amenities and support spaces opening on all sides. By retaining the existing building that has served the community since 1929, the available budget was consolidated towards providing durable facilities for the next 100 years! We wish to thank our Clients, Northern District Cricket Club and Hornsby Council; Head Contractor, Westbury Constructions; Project Manager Mostyn Copper; Structural Engineers, Eckersley O’Callaghan; Services Engineers, Evolved Engineering; and Heritage consultants, Heritage 21. Milestone Achieved - Generator Changeover Complete A major step forward on our medical fitout project in Spring Hill, Brisbane, with the successful crane lift removing the old generator and installing the new unit. This milestone represents the completion of all major plant equipment required to deliver a stand-alone 24/7 Class 9a day hospital. The scale of infrastructure delivered has been significant, with all equipment carefully positioned across 10 Con-form plant decks between the plant balcony and roof space. The scope has included a new chiller plant, eight AHU units, external condenser units, humidification systems, a chiller complete with water treatment and pumps, medical gas infrastructure including liquid nitrogen line and suction plant, as well as the hot water plant, pumps and critical fans. Executing works of this complexity within a live operational building required meticulous staging, detailed coordination and an uncompromising commitment to safety at every step. A huge thank you to the teams who made this complex operation run seamlessly, including Manns Logan Cranes, Keene Electrical Services, BOC South Pacific, Smartcorp Plumbing, SIG Roofing Group, Con-form Group and Ascot Air We also acknowledge our design and delivery partners Evolved Engineering and Dunnings Consulting Engineers for their outstanding coordination, planning and execution throughout, all while keeping the facility fully operational without disruption. This lift marks a critical milestone as we move into final connections and commissioning. A strong result driven by teamwork, professionalism and a shared focus on delivering resilient healthcare infrastructure. #BrisbaneConstruction #QueenslandConstruction #HealthcareConstruction #MedicalFitout #QLDPrivateHealth

** COHA PROJECT UPDATE - BRISBANE BASKETBALL AUCHENFLOWER REFURBISHMENT ** Work is progressing well at Brisbane Basketball Inc's (BBI) Auchenflower home with the new roof now on and internal fit out works and rough-ins well under way. COHA Group are proud to be providing client-side project management services for the Club, one of the largest basketball associations in South East Queensland. This much needed redevelopment is being co-funded between BBI and the Queensland Government's Department of Sport, Racing and Olympic and Paralympic Games, under its Community and Recreational Assets Recovery and Resilience Program (CRARRP) funding. This important funding initiative from the Queensland Government helps in the clean-up and repair of community and recreational assets damaged by the extraordinary disaster events in 2022. A challenging building and site such as this requires strong collaboration and communication amongst the project team, and the project is in good hands with the team at iQ Construct and the design team, led by Open Architecture Studio. BBI's 5,000 + members (and growing) will look forward to playing games of basketball and gathering at the new redeveloped facilities in a few months' time where the storied history of this much-loved club and facility will open a new chapter. Stay tuned for more news regarding this redevelopment and more. #projectmanagement #clubs #design #construction #basketball #clientside #independent #sport #communityclubs
