Jack Cincotta led the way for 2nd Grade in their Grand Final taking 5/73 off a mammoth 33 overs. JC showed tremendous spirit and determination, continuing to show up for his side despite some disciplined batting from Manly.
After six three-wicket hauls this season, it was fitting that Jack ended the season with the accolade he deserved, as one of the hardest workers at the club.
Congrats JC, 5 wickets in a GF is an outstanding effort, and hopefully we see this form continue into next season!

The season came to a close over the weekend as both our 2nd and 3rd Grade men’s sides battled it out in their respective Grand Finals.
2nd Grade
Bowling first at the ever-picturesque Manly Oval, the 2s boys were well and truly on top early with Jack Cincotta (5/73) and Lachlan Fisher (2/53) picking up early wickets to have their opponents reeling at 4/42. However, Manly’s middle order consolidated, batting through the rest of Day 1 and majority of Day 2 to post a daunting 359. In response, early wickets proved detrimental despite valiant efforts by skipper Jon Whealing (44) and Ryan Swain (50*) with the Rangers bowled out for 173 early on Day 3, handing Manly the premiership. Congratulations to Wheals and the 2s squad for another fantastic season, despite the end result not going our way!
3rd Grade
Sent into the field at Pratten, the Rangers grinded hard on Day 1 to pick up consistent wickets. After a slow start with the Western Suburbs batters happy to see off the new ball, the introduction of Nick Apps (3/46) saw the boys pick up 3 crucial wickets to get the ball rolling. Lachlan Soles (4/47) led the way throughout the remainder of Day 1 and early on Day 2, to eventually bowl Wests out for a chaseable 208. With the bat, Anthony Bartlett (52) served as the anchor to the chase, allowing those around him to express themselves at the crease. Kyal Cruickshank (81) sealed the deal with a man of the match performance to guide the boys to a 5-wicket win, bringing the Mitchell Cup back to Waitara once again! Congratulations to captain Nick Cheadle and all the 3s boys on a fantastic season, and a clinical finals campaign!
Champions again!
Northern District Cricket Club have lifted the Mitchell Cup for the 7th time, defeating Western Suburbs by 5 wickets.

Skipper Nick Cheadle leads his Third Grade side into another Mitchell Cup Final, as the Rangers look to secure a 3rd Premiership in the last 6 seasons.
The side travel to Pratten Park to take on Western Suburbs in a 1v2 matchup, arguably the two best sides across the season.
With plenty of finals experience throughout the squad and some strong recent performances, the Rangers will be looking for the icing on the cake in what is shaping up to be a brilliant two-day fixture played over the weekend.
Let’s get a big ND crowd out this weekend to cheer the Rangers on! Good luck team!
