I’m so grateful for the opportunity to DP for director Michael Giacchino @m_giacchino and Angus MacLane on their proof of concept film, Death Vendor. When I was seven years old, I watched The Incredibles in theaters; it was the very first animated film I saw on the big screen. Along with Up and Ratatouille, so many films inspired me… Michael’s scores truly shaped my childhood - his recent work of course continues to move me through beautiful storytelling. Also, I simply grew up watching Angus’s work, from WALL-E to Toy Story to Finding Dory… you name it. Just to share the same vision and collaborate with the two legends was just so inspiring. A huge thank you to my crew, who brought their best to every shot. So proud of what we created. I can’t share more right now, but I truly can’t wait to see the finished film❤️ Thank you, God, for this experience- one I will cherish for a long time, proving that I am on the right path.

Wow. Sundance 2026…A year I won’t forget. Thank you to @sundanceorg and the Sloan Foundation for believing in Stem @stemthefilm once again with another award. Receiving the Sundance/Sloan Development Fellowship truly feels like a reminder that this story needs care and intimacy…and that it’s worth telling with intention☺️🫡 Being at the festival this year, and feeling the spirit of why Robert Redford and his team founded the institute in the first place, was incredibly moving. Community, curiosity, and real support for artists🏔️I got to make so many new friends and collaborators 🙌🏻 Truly grateful to be part of this year’s festival and for everyone who made this year possible…and excited for the years ahead in Boulder!

I’m incredibly grateful to @sundanceorg for taking a chance on me and @stemthefilm ️Thrilled to announce that my feature film has been selected for the 2026 Sundance Screenwriters Intensive!!This truly feels like a dream come true. I’m so thankful for the support Stem continues to receive as it moves closer to becoming a feature film.Stem is a psychological drama-thriller about a female scientist drawn into groundbreaking stem cell research that promises to end human disability - only to uncover a dark truth that pushes her to her limits. I recently shot a short film / proof of concept (currently in post-production) as part of this journey.I feel deeply called to bring this story to life. Huge thanks to all the collaborators who have believed in me and in Stem. More to come - please stay tuned ️

NextShark Studios is proud to announce STEM, a new psychological drama inspired by the real stem-cell scandal that shook South Korea in the 2000s. Written and directed by Daeil Kim, recipient of the 2024 Alfred P. Sloan Production Grant (@sloanpublic ), the film stars legendary actor Yoon Je-moon (The Host, Mother, Okja) as Dr. Park Ho-WWon, with Joe Seo (@joejoeseo ) (Cobra Kai, Spa Night) joining the cast. The short film has completed principal photography and is now in post-production, with development underway for a full feature adaptation. Excited to share my NEW Cinematography work for the dystopian sci-fi film AT WHAT COST. This project is so close to my heart because I had the privilege of helping my brother @arobfilms bring to life a personal story he’s been developing for years.
