Stepped into my dad’s world ♥️ His record store was his most prized possession and it’s been so nice getting to listen to his incredible collection.
Getting to spend time with all my siblings and family has been very healing. Been looking at all his paintings, eating his favorite foods, and giving eachother lots of hugs and cuddles!
Chau papa, thank you for the music !!🎶
Yesterday, on the day of love, my sweet papa took his last breath. He was a father of 7, a friend to many, and a great big brother. He was the most tender man with a beautiful soul. A spiritual man who loved nature, birds, and the moon.
I was born into the world of his music. I have and will never meet another person more obsessed with music than my papa. His mind was a music encyclopedia. By the time I was 5 I knew everything about Eric Clapton, The Animals, and the Beatles. He loved Link Wray!! Throughout my life he owned several records stores and I would watch him talk to people about music with great passion and gusto.
He gave me my name, Aurora, which in Spanish means “the first light of dawn.” He was so proud to be Uruguayan and would never cease to remind me that I am Latina and I should always always take pride in that.
I don’t know what life is going to look like without him. When I would be having a bad day, I would call him, and he would say “give me all your anxieties and let me hold on to them.” He always took my pain away and had the most beautiful way with words. I am beyond grateful that my last words to him were “te amo mucho, gracias por ser el mejor padre y estoy muy orgullosa de ser tu hija.” ♥️ all I can do is take it one step at a time and I know that he will be with me forever.♥️
