Pop antihero Sofia Isella (@sofia_isella ) wants you obsessed or repulsed—no in-between. The 21-year-old's music and the artwork for it, most recently on her new EP 'Something is a shell.', are comprised of muscle, teeth, and blood, all drawing attention to religious hypocrisy, cultural pedophilia, and historic and infrastructural misogyny under a gothic, alternative-pop sheen. "I want to be full of passion and vigor, and ugly,” Isella says of how she looks onstage.

My book is in TEEN VOGUE?!?!? My book is in Teen Vogue!!!!
I’ve always been a fan, but Teen Vogue has truly led the way for the past decade in particular when it comes to smart coverage on every issue of teen and young adult life—from politics, to fashion, to relationships, to pop culture—and it is such a dream come true to have them reveal the first extended excerpt of WITCHKILLER. Thank you to fellow Knoxville native @claire_ifying for giving my girl Gretel a spotlight.
