When @imogenheap sent me the demos last summer I could not stop hearing it my mind. I joined the song and worked on sound design, drum programming, arrangement, and other bits
Protecting the natural world is something near and dear to my heart so working with @pattiegonia and Imogen on this was very special.
To bring nature in, @pattiegonia sent me field recordings of ice from the Eastern Sierras that I turned into percussion and transitional elements throughout the track.

Hear the Listener belongs to you now. I hope you enjoy listening as much as I did bringing it to life. As many of you know, this took longer to finish than I originally thought it would. (This always happens) I had it “finished” in November 2024 and then went back into the studio to add three new tracks, which ended up being some of my favs.
This one is intended to be listened to start finish. It’s a journey. Made with love, between the remote coast of Northern California and Silverlake, LA.

Still reeling from the experience of collaborating with @jacobjonasthecompany and the absolute angel @nikkigrier on his show Keeping Score last week in LA. We started working on the score in fall of last year and it was stunning to see it all come to life.
If you ever have a chance to see this, I can’t recommend it enough. We need deep, soul-churning, transformative art like this right now. Jacob and the whole company are the real deal.
I created a score of drones that weaves throughout the piece with Nikki’s vocals, which a choir performed live on stage. When Jacob first said to me, “I have this idea to combine binaural beats and a choir,” my first thought was that I’d never heard anything like that before and wasn’t sure if it would work. But I trusted him immediately… and he was right. The music in combination with the movement on stage was so powerful.
I also knew from our long conversation that he was doing psychedelic therapy around the time of his cancer treatment, which is when he discovered my music. He wanted the audience to feel what it was like to be held by the ambient music. The drones are synthetic and deep, like waves, and Nikki’s arrangements added so much human brightness.
During a time when the artist’s soul is a battlefield, I can’t think of better medicine than the most human art form of dance
We need artists like Jacob who wrestle with deep questions so we can all benefit from the journey. We need more visceral art

I’m so thrilled to share a new remix of Valley of the Moon by my friends @superposition.world ! When I listen to this remix I feel like I’m sitting in a big cloud. It’s very immersive and surreal. I’m so grateful to @boreta and @davisville for their energy and enthusiasm in collaborating, and to @audibleoddities for mastering this track 🤍 We thought it felt right to release this remix as the full moon is forming 🌕 Link in my bio to listen!

2025 Camera Roll drop. Lots of Remy (puppy). Released a bunch of music, played some shows, and moved out of LA to deepen my relationship with the natur world. Happy new year y’all. It is rare to play a set on such a massive system that is tuned for people lying or sitting on the ground. Most sound systems are best standing up and this room handles both beautifully.
