This is the 1st time in my career that I’ve been able to compose & sing music for an ENTIRE film. I read the script 3 times (before receiving a ruff cut of the film) and journaled themes & arcs that I discovered. I pondered textures and the overall sound design. This movie is a beautiful story of trauma and triumph and it evoked so many different emotions in me that I wanted to convey through the music. After many hours in the studio, meetings, & calls over the course of 4-5 months the result is something that I’m extremely proud of. You have never seen these actors the way you will see them in this film. Incredible performances across the board. Thank you to the director Simon Steuri and the producer of the film Jewerl Ross for this opportunity! This is a dream come true and something I can cross off my bucket list. Thank you to all the incredible musicians & engineers that helped make this vision come to life. How do we restart? This is a recurring theme in life. After illness, traumatic events, the loss of a loved one, or the breakdown of a relationship, we often find ourselves at a crossroads, wondering how to begin anew. Restarting requires courage and a willingness to endure the challenges and setbacks that come with the process. It demands resilience and determination to navigate the rough patches and ultimately reach a place of healing and growth. We explore this theme set to binaural beats in the Production of Restart @broadstage_sm on March 19th @ 7:30pm and March 22nd @ 6pm. I went to Vegas last weekend to catch the @zacbrownband Sphere show. I was completely blown away. I remember seeing the renderings of the choir scenes and trying to conceptualize what it would actually look like; so to see it in person was truly incredible. Hearing me and @needfor_steve arrangements, seeing our singers on screen, and knowing we served as creative consultants on the choir parts of this show made me extremely proud and emotional💕💕 Huge thank you to @mdmango 🙏🏽
