J is a Lebanese-American mechanic and “motorcycle sculptor” for museums, while running an Arab-inspired café directly next door. More importantly, J is one of the most inspiring community members you’ll find.

How I Crafted My New Brand
From Streetwear ➡️ Talent Management
➡️ Handmade Travel Uniforms

1. When I was 15 I started my first brand, LisnUp, streetwear rooted in music, philanthropy and a message you could wear.
2. The collaborations took me all over, connected me with the people who were doing deep work, who inspired me.
3. I was also studying, aiming for music/talent management at the time
and during my collaboration with Noor, I took a chance and shared with her my vision for the future of media,
where journalists become their own brands. I asked her to let me manage her like an artist, and dream up a new world around her business.
4. This next chapter took me around the globe, and into the broad rooms and front rows of all kinds.
Stories are everywhere.
And Noor showed me that one day you can produce the story and the next day you can be the story.
I wanted to design for that reality
5. Fashion has always been my creative outlet.
Not just for the sake of designing but to also be intentional with what I personally wear,
and to witness the magic of someone else wearing the story I weaved together.
6. I wanted to dress the people who bring the artists or creatives (or their own) dreams to life.
The managers, agents, lawyers, the publishers, the people who work incessantly behind the scenes to make the vision a reality.
We don’t always have time to make more decisions, and we travel often. So, a uniform was born.
8. The core values of the Andever world:
pay people fairly,
honor where you come from and honor where you are going, lean into adventure (geolocation),
document the story and weave the narrative into the threads.
Sometimes more is said without words.
Create an experience and become part of a memory. And make really good quality things.
