REELway is a digital magazine dedicated to Canada’s screen based industry, with a singular focus on the creatives who drive it. At a time when Canadian creatives operate within a complex ecosystem of funding bodies, broadcasters, and institutions, REELway exists to bridge the gap between storytellers and the industry structures that support them. #REELwayMagazine #DigitalMagazine #CanadianCreators #FilmandTv #CanadianMagazine REELway Magazine, Digital Magazine, Interviews, Canadian Creators, Film and TV, Fly Away Films Inc., Canadian Magazine

Last night was the World Premiere of my directorial debut feature, ‘Our Planet, The People, My Blood’. My aim from the beginning of this almost 4 years ago, was to create the same kind of wonder, intrigue and disgust that hit me the first time I learnt about these issues. I like to think we pulled that off. To add to this, we have the wonderful news that we are now working with the team at @source_ents for a nationwide UK release for 14th May! 🎉 This has by far been the most difficult but rewarding project I have taken on so far. Look forward to seeing you at the cinemas! 🍿 #indiefilm #atomicblood #worldpremiere #london

🎬 IT’S HERE. Watch the official trailer for ‘Our Planet, The People, My Blood.’ This feature documentary follows Alan Owen, descendant of an Atomic Soldier, as he challenges the UK Ministry of Defence in a landmark legal battle — fighting for recognition and compensation for millions affected by nuclear weapons testing worldwide. The team travelled 150,000km across 5 countries in 3 years to bring this story to you. This is a film about legacy, justice, and the human cost of decisions made decades ago — costs still being paid today. 📅 Film release: March 12th, 2026
🎟 World Premiere: Prince Charles Cinema, London — March 12th
🎫 Tickets on sale Feb 12th 👉 Subscribe on YouTube: @atomicblooddoc Directed by Daniel Everitt-Lock

I always leave meaningful conversations with creatives feeling inspired, and hosting the 2025 ShopTalk Series for CineFAM was a true highlight. Facilitating meaningful dialogue with creatives—especially alongside inspiring women of colour like @cazhblanche @reemm_director @yazmeenkanji and @zeynep_guler_tuck —reinforces why I do this work. I’m grateful to combine my TV hosting and journalism experience to support conversations that matter. Thank you to @cinefam_women for championing women of colour and creating space for their voices and work to be seen.

I had the privilege of helping plan this year’s MISAFF Symposium through SACFF, bringing much-needed masterclasses and panels to our creative community. I also had the honour of moderating a session exploring how South Asian creators in Canada can collaborate across film, sports, entertainment, advertising, music, and digital culture to build globally resonant narratives and IP. Canada is becoming a vibrant hub for South Asian creative talent, and this conversation highlighted how cross-industry partnerships can expand our global reach. A big thank you to the trailblazer Vinay Virmani for being a pivotal part of this conversation, and change makers Gavin Barrett, Amrit Gill, Fateh Doe, and Sangtar Singh for bringing depth and honestly to the conversation. A big shout out to the whole team at @mosaic_misaff for working tirelessly to bring this to life. @arshadkfilms @singhingbowl @shwayta_s - your commitment to supporting filmmakers is commendable!! @mosaic_misaff @southasiancanadianfilmmakers @vinayvirmani @amritgilltv @ideawallah @fatehdoe @sangtarr PS: Check out @fatehdoe ‘s new album!
