As states are gathered for the Review Conference of the Parties to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), there's little expectation that much will be achieved. Two consecutive review conferences have ended without agreement.

Today, civil society organisations, including ICAN, addressed the conference and there Alicia Sanders-Zakre, ICAN’s Head of Policy, reminded the delegates that if they are serious about this treaty should recognise where they stand because the NPT's disarmament pillar is failing because a small number of states [...].
