After 3 years, 150,000km’s across 5 countries, over 50 interviews and being hunted down by dingos (actually happened…), we are proud to share the Official Trailer for my debut feature documentary, ‘Our Planet, The People, My Blood’. This became more and more a labour of love as we met with more incredible people. Their stories are both heartbreaking and truly inspiring. A testament to the strength of the human spirit, even in the face of incredible injustice and adversity. Our aim now is to help the UK’s Atomic Veterans win in their battle for recognition and compensation. This year, it is time to make a difference. As we approach the 80th anniversary of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and with nuclear tensions still high today, this film uncovers the untold stories of those affected by atomic testing. Woomera was a military town and aerospace testing range about 400km's outside of Adelaide. There is a horrific graveyard at this site containing the bodies of over 80 babies that died 'mysteriously', most within a few days of birth.⁠ It was documented that a black mist travelled across from the Maralinga desert during the major tests. There are numerous sites within the Maralinga desert where we found nuclear waste had been dumped. Some marked, and some unmarked. The British carried out seven major atomic weapons tests and nearly 700 minor trials in the Maralinga Desert. Indigenous communities were forcibly removed from their land so the area could be used for nuclear testing, leaving their homes permanently contaminated by radiation.⁠ The treatment of these communities reflected a profound disregard for their lives and culture. Sacred lands were repurposed as waste storage sites, while uranium and other radioactive materials were buried across the Maralinga desert, often in unmarked locations, with little effort made to ensure long-term safety or accountability.⁠ ⁠ #atomicblood #documentary #Australia #maralinga #atomiclegacy

The Nuked Blood Scandal. It was discovered in 2023 that there was a blood tests taken on some of the servicemen that were present at the Nuclear Bomb Tests in Christmas Island, and at Maralinga.⁠ These medical records have been hidden from the servicemen and their families for decades, in the highly secretive Merlin Database. ⁠ This database, thanks to much campaigning effort, have now been declassified!
