TFPH 2025 In Photos: Type Fair Philippines 2025 was presented by co-organizers @aaronxamar @aniciaclean @jethtorres @kookiesantos and community space partner @comuna.ph . 💚❤️💜💙 Thank you to Comuna for supporting Type Fair since day 0! They have been rallying behind us, encouraging us to explore the creative bounds of a creative gathering. The space and the people behind it are big reasons as to why this Type Fair was a warm and welcoming community event. 🤗 Thank you to Team Comuna: Maya, Tita Ana Katigbak, Kuya Jojo, Kuya Gary, Ate Inday, Ate Ruth, Ian, Ermar, SG Alih, SG Maturan, SG Asala for letting us do our thing! Thanks to our photographer and creative supporter @jazmintabuena for her eye in capturing special TFPH moments, and for the heart that she placed in her photos for us. 📸 She started as a Type Fair volunteer on our first year in 2023. This year, we had the privilege of having her as our official photographer, lending her ability to capture the creative spirit, community interactions, and the dynamic energy throughout the day. While the whole day was hectic, her vibrant zest hyped us all throughout. She has believed in us from the start, and we’re excited for the future creative possibilities that we have yet to unfold with her! Thanks to @uncuratedstudio for this year’s bold and playful visual identity. ✨🎨 Their dynamically layered approach to the visuals allowed us to expand and express this year’s theme of Process and Practice. The reality of process is layered and complex, yet playful and explorative. We are honored to have their distinct way of seeing and making for our third year, which we intentionally wanted to be bigger and more jam-packed. TFPH 2025 In Photos: With this year’s Type Fair theme of Process & Practice, we were privileged to have the presence of this year’s lineup of speakers: @kristian_henson , @noellayonflores , @cmyka.type , @hrftype , and Lucille Tenazas. ☺️ Each of their creative talks highlighted the value of process in their practice in different ways: from the progression of culture and the unfolding of its typographic manifestations throughout history, to the iterative behind-the-scenes work behind final outputs. TFPH 2025 In Photos: Our Type Exhibit & Library in @__63.ph was a lounge space for inspiration and connection. 🖼️📚 Our Filipino Type Archives Exhibit showcased type from, or related to the Philippines dating from as early as the 1900’s to 1990’s. With type collections that have been generously shared by @dti.designcenterph and @teammanilastudio , the exhibit got to appreciate how the craft of type, and its movements have evolved through the years. Our Type Library is sourced from our personal collections of type-related books. Through this, we got to share how type brings these publications to life. From type specimens, to type education resources, to simply beautiful applications of type, our goal was to inspire our participants with our curated selection of books. These publications were shared by @aniciaclean @kookiesantos @aaronxamar @inksplosive @nicong.co @rikufrontier and @commonroomph . ❤️ We are grateful to @__63.ph for opening up a space of possibilities for us to explore and experiment with. What started out as a blank space became a vibrant spot for creativity and inspiration to come alive. ✨ We got to complete the vibe of the space with the W Series speakers from @alphaworks.ph , as we played classic 70’s-90’s Filipino tunes. 🎶 Special thanks to @in.the.making_ph for offering their skills and resources to make our Type Exhibit & Library functional, welcoming, and interactive! Each detail of the crate set up and layout was intentional to crafting the experience of the space. 🙏 We enjoyed seeing the reception of our Type Exhibit & Library, and how everyone got to engage with the publications and prints in the space. TFPH 2025 In Photos: Within letterforms are hidden stories, and histories. 🔡 We got to uncover some of these through our first ever film screening at Type Fair Philippines 2025. Vox Typography videos and Gary Hustwit’s documentary, Helvetica were screened for free at @cruxbl , allowing our participants to sit down and watch beautiful type stories unfold, together. In between screenings, our Bold sponsor @bymonotype featured three short films that feature and highlight the creators of the type that we see and enjoy today. Over at @from.somewhereelse , their Film Club session was a Type Fair special featuring “La Antena,” a near-silent 2007 film by Esteban Sapir. 🌀 This film highlighted the value of type as a form of communication and expression, through its visually-compelling and dynamic typographic screens. We ended our Type Fair festivities with a raffle that was generously donated by @akoya.mockups @bratpackstore @letterformarchive and @ohnotypeco . ✨ We are grateful for their openness to share items and resources that support to our creative lifestyles. #TFPH25 #TypeFairPH #TypeFairPhilippines

TFPH 2025 In Photos: We had a range of skill sharing and type crafting with our range of workshops generously facilitated by @nicong.co , @mikajoaquin , @karlfmcastro for @concernedartists_ph , and @jelvin . 🎨🖌️ Playing with different styles and mediums, our participants got to immerse themselves to the process of creating type. Whether it’s in the form of exploring new ways and perspectives to create letterforms, using type creation as a way to express what we value, or enjoying other people’s company by making type together, these are some of the ways that we get to appreciate the effort and details behind crafting letterforms. #TFPH25 #TypeFairPH #TypeFairPhilippines

TFPH 2025 In Photos: We started the day with the Type Walk lead by and in partnership with @novicemagazineph 🍋‍🟩☀️ With clear skies and early morning sunshine, our participants explored Makati’s chrome signs, everyday typography, and hidden letterforms across the city.
