around this time last year, i had the honor of illustrating a scarf for @basiscoffeeoutpost ’s 4th anniversary ☕️
when i got the brief and color, my first initial thought was drawing the process of coffee making; but through sketching, i ended up wanting to make hipster dog baristas - and that sort of became the first character (slide 5) that inspired the rest. the bracelet in one of the dogs is inspired by one i own, and the cat in a backwards cap is referenced from my sister’s cat.
this is the first scarf i’ve got to design and illustrate so it feels special; and i’m so grateful to the guys over at Basis for trusting me with this project. hope you guys can support them at pop-ups and conventions, and hopefully a place of their own soon!✨🙏🏽
