Sofia's and Andreas's "Branches & Bytes" explores contrasting sonic approaches: digital sound programming meets mechanical, analog friction. Zaiceva shapes sound through code, spatialization, and algorithmic structures, while Trobollowitsch creates raw, physical textures using branches and rotating wooden discs. Together, they forge a hybrid sonic field where contrasts collide, intertwine, and dissolve into unexpected resonances.
Gintas K will perform a live electronic piece, “Merzmania,” featuring the motif of the Lithuanian folk song “Teka, teka šviesi saulė”. Using Plogue Bidule, self-derived software, MIDI controllers, and VST plugins, every sound is shaped live in real time. The piece blends classical musical skills with the energy of contemporary noise, turning the computer into a fully expressive instrument.
Allosci is an electronic music duo of Gabrielė Griciūtė and Andrius Mackevičius [LT]. The duo finds inspiration in psychoacoustic effects, field recordings, and low frequency drones. These elements are intertwined with embodied rhythmic patterns and distant vocal fragments. The duo is fascinated by the unifying phenomenon of vibration, which in their performances begins with sound and gradually resonates through the body, the environment, and the mind.
