⠀ 제1회 <사–이 페스티벌: 끼어드는 틈>은 세 가지 층위의 예술적 교류를 제안한다. 9일에 걸친 기간 동안 25명의 국제 예술가들은 서로의 경계에 틈을 내고 중첩되며, 자신의 예술을 재정립한다. 7인의 예술가는 페스티벌이 전개되는 방식, 혹은 공연의 흐름을 무대화하는 역할을 맡는다. 여기서 무대는 단순히 부수적인 배경이 아닌, 전시라는 골조 위에 세워지는 페스티벌의 환경을 일컫는다. 이러한 조건 속에서, 사운드·음악·퍼포먼스 분야의 예술가 18인이 초대되어 나흘간의 밤 동안 이 무대를 활성화한다. 이들은 소리의 물성이나 퍼포먼스의 몸짓을 통해 어떻게 공간과 교섭하고 개입할 것인가를 기준으로 선정되었다. 공연이 열리는 주말과 주말 사이, 축제 공간은 참여 예술가들의 워크숍을 위한 장이 된다. 이 워크숍들은 예술적 실천과 창작에 관한 대화를 생성하는 틈으로서 작동한다. For the inaugural edition of the festival <SA–I: Interventions> three modes of artistic exchange overlap and redefine each other over the course of nine days with participations from twenty-five international artists. Seven artists were given roles to explore the staging of a festival or concert scenario, importantly: not as a side component, but the very construction of the environment as an exhibition framework. Within this condition, eighteen artists working in sound, music, and performance were invited to activate this staging over the four evenings. These artists were curated based on the way space is negotiated in the work they produce, whether in sonic characteristics or performative gestures. Desaceleradas + Elif Gülin Soğuksu + Victor Burton [30.5.]: silent green präsentiert: Debit (@deliabeat ) rekontextualisiert lateinamerikanische Clubmusik – Guaracha, Tribal, Dembow und brasilianischen Funk im Dialog mit Techno und Global Bass. Im silent green präsentiert sie Desaceleradas als erweiterte Live-A/V-Show. // Elif Gülin Soğuksu (@elifsoguksu ) erforscht die Stimme als affektive Kraft zwischen inneren und äußeren Klangerfahrungen. Psychic Liberation Night: Niloofar Asghary + Júlia Koffler [21.8.]: silent green präsentiert: Niloofar Asghary (@niloofar.ashgray ) ist eine Künstlerin, die in den Bereichen Klang, Fotografie und Archiv arbeitet. Mit dem No-Input-Mixing-Board macht sie Feedback und Interferenz zur Kompositionsmethode – Klang, der zwischen Kontrollverlust und Struktur navigiert. // Júlia Koffler (@hopp_juliska ) ist eine in Berlin lebende Vokalistin und Klangkünstlerin aus Ungarn. Sie verbindet erweiterte Vokaltechniken mit Tape und Elektronik und erkundet, wie sich die Stimme im Raum verwandelt. Sie verbindet Field Recordings, granulare Synthese und traditionelle Instrumente mit Einflüssen aus der Clubkultur – ihre Musik bewegt sich zwischen meditativer Dichte und ritueller Intensität, geprägt von Themen wie Glaube, Obsession und Transformation. // Afraidofmessages (@afraidofmessages ) ist das Soloprojekt von Sonja Aguilar, Gitarristin und Sängerin der No-Wave-Band BRAK. Durch experimentelle Spieltechniken und perkussive Mittel entlockt sie der Gitarre ein breites Spektrum abstrakter Klänge und Texturen – ergänzt durch Synthesizer, die zwischen Härte und Zartheit oszillieren. Musik, die Sanftheit und Intensität gleichzeitig zulässt. // silent green presents: Flora Yin-Wong (@floraytw ) is a London-based sound artist combining field recordings, granular synthesis and traditional instruments with influences from club culture – her music moves between meditative density and ritual intensity, shaped by themes of belief, obsession and transformation. Afraidofmessages (@afraidofmessages ) is the solo project of Sonja Aguilar, guitarist and vocalist of no-wave band BRAK. Through experimental techniques and percussive tools, she draws a wide spectrum of abstract sounds and textures from the guitar – extended by synthesizers that oscillate between harshness and delicacy. Psychic Liberation Night: Horse Lords + Audrey Chen & Nick Klein [18.11.]: silent green präsentiert: Horse Lords (@horselords ) sind ein Quartett aus Baltimore, das seit 2010 repetitive Strukturen, mikrotonale Gitarren und verzahnte Percussion zu etwas verbindet, das gleichzeitig archaisch und präzise klingt – beeinflusst von Henry Flynt bis James Brown, von islamischen Mustern bis Kuwaiti Sawt. Für ihr jüngstes Album auf RVNG Intl. haben sie das Quartett um Klarinette, Posaune und Gesang erweitert. // Die Arbeit von Audrey Chen (@audrey.isabel.chen ) und Nick Klein (@nickklein____ ) entfaltet sich als katalytische Improvisationsübungen im Spannungsfeld extremer klanglicher Gegensätze, wobei sie mit Verbindungslinien zwischen organischem und anorganischem Klangmaterial und dessen Dynamiken spielen. For their latest album on RVNG Intl., they expanded the quartet with clarinet, trombone, and vocalists. // The work of Audrey Chen (@audrey.isabel.chen ) and Nick Klein (@nickklein____ ) is that of catalytic improvisation exercises in sound at its extreme counterpoints, playing with through lines between organic and inorganic sonic material and dynamics. Chen and Klein have performed in various venues such as Amsterdam's OCCII, Berlin's Volksbühne Roter Salon, and Gothenburg's Folkteater. In 2026, the duo are slated for LP releases coming out through United States imprint Enmossed, as well as Sweden's IDEAL Recordings. Sharma + Joachim Nordwall & Nick Klein [25.4.]: silent green präsentiert: Hyunhye Seo (@hyunnies ) ist eine Künstlerin der experimentellen Komposition – durch Klavierimprovisationen, dynamische Perkussion und höhlenartige Klangbearbeitungen erschafft sie dichte, aufgewühlte Klanglandschaften. // Gerriet K. Sharma (@gksh_lab ) komponiert Klang als Raum – mit Beamforming-Lautsprechern und 3D-Audio schafft er immersive Hörerfahrungen an der Schnittstelle von Raum, Zeit und Körper. “Can’t Be A Candle” for @saras.worldwide at @thesalon.paris for @newartdealers X @thecommunityparis . SARA’S is thrilled to participate in The Salon, Booth 0.9, with a solo presentation, Can’t Be A Candle, by multi-disciplinary artist Nick Klein. This will be the artist’s second major showing with the gallery. Can’t Be A Candle is comprised of photographic prints, paintings, photocopies, and audio pulled from Klein’s work focusing on “ecstatic obligatory production.” Whether in the isolation of a hermetic studio practice or the social engagement of a global touring regimen, Klein focuses on blending and obscuring disciplines to coalesce new formal outcomes, seeding a productive antagonism throughout his wide-ranging creative output. On Sunday, October 20, we will present Can’t Be A Candle: Action One, a performance to accompany the artist’s presentation. Since 2008, Klein’s work has been rooted in the elementally creative acts of performing sound and sound adjacent gestures. Over time, his interest in blending disciplines have allowed the edges of this practice to soften and encompass a wider range of performance contexts—which he explores in staged settings of varying scale and intimacy.
