𝕆𝕤𝕔𝕚𝕝𝕝𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 𝕔𝕒𝕣𝕠𝕦𝕤𝕖𝕝 ::: 𝕋𝕙𝕖 ℂ𝕚𝕣𝕔𝕦𝕚𝕥 Cybernetic audiovisual environments, percussive (dis)appearances, reel-to-reel cyborgism, turntablism eclecticism, ephemeral audiovisual balances, in-situ traces, interactive forest memories, sonic morphings/blurred identities, vibraphone nuances ::: 25.04, MSHR @ Beursschouwburg: Electrical signals and human presence unfold into dense networks of causality that babble with life-like current; homemade instruments conjure spatial feedback systems of light and sound. 29.04, Alexis Degrenier @ Hall M – URSquare: Using space constraint as an extension of his setup, Degrenier inhabits a bare acoustic space with tense threads between ephemeral appearances and spectral disappearances. 25.04, Augustė Vickunaitė @ Beursschouwburg: A performance in which the human body, reel-to-reel tape recorders, and magnetic tape form a closed system, channeling bodily energy into mechanical motion, only to be torn and destroyed. 03.05, dj sniff @ BUDA BXL: Merging experimental, hip hop, and free improvisation through self-built instruments and conceptual approaches to turntablism and audio culture. 29.04, Gwendoline Robin @ URSquare: A performance inspired by high mountain listening, translated into elemental visual and sound installations exploring the balance between ephemeral and permanent, solidity and collapse. 02.05, Ato No Mae @ Bodeek: A performance incorporating found objects, self-built instruments, keyboards, and voice, leaving behind an atmosphere, a presence, and traces within the space. 25.04, Ikbal Lubys @ Beursschouwburg: A performance inspired the tropical forests of Kalimantan and the impact of deforestation, playing the forest’s memory as an interactive testimony of its transformation. 28.04, Diane Barbé @ Rosas Performance Space: Playing with sonic morphings and blurred identities, presenting several pieces by handmade wind instruments and synthetic-acoustic sculptures. 02.05, Rubén Orio & Andrés Navarro play Sarah Hennies @ Bodeek: Repetition and subtle nuance give rise to instabilities in the sound, dissolving the edges of virtuosity and of time, and allowing tones to unfold in space.

Augustė Vickunaitė Employing vintage reel-to-reel tape recorders, this sound experimentalist articulates diverse layers found material, field recordings, voice, music instruments, objects, and the whole spectrum of malfunctions of decaying technology. Vickunaitėspecializes in tape music, noise, and collage, and is known for a theatrical and darkly humorous approach, often exploiting errors of analog audio equipment. Her solo work encompasses tape loops and collages of found audio tapes. Deeply admired by our friends at Kraak, who effortlessly “sink into and dissipate with” the “fluid dexterity” of the music she creates. “Worlds appear and disintegrate in a grainy mush,” they gasp, palms sweaty, “Obliterating themselves in the melée.” Augustė Vickunaitė will perform Saturday night at The Old Market

In vitro #30 Heading back to the Big Apple from April 7 to 13 for another go-around at @montezpressradio ! A continuation of previous projects that started between friends in 2024, presenting live performances by Belgian-based sound artists. We’ll be joined by four radical musicians, each using different methods/thought processes to fabricate their sonic language. Florence Cats’ practice fuses music, visual art, and poetry. She is known for playing a prepared theremin using radio, voice, and small objects. @edicoescn founder Lieven Martens creates conceptual music that challenges expectation and interpretation. His work explores field recordings and the sociological dimension of the soundscape through chance and experimentation. Augustė Vickunaitė uses a different approach altogether, employing field recordings as a medium continuously manipulated through vintage reel-to-reel tape recorders, weaving together found material, voice, and the full spectrum of decaying technology. Closing the event is @stroom.tv ’s enfant terrible Roman Hiele: hard-to-define electronica mixed with synthetic sounds and a background in jazz composition, creating a no-nonsense idiom, as he puts it. More information via link in bio. — This event and tour is a collaboration with Montez Press Radio, supported by Flanders State of the Art. — Entrance: Free Doors: 20h00 Montez Press Radio 46 Canal St, New York NY 10002, US — Graphic design by @randevos

Transmutation Season 4, Episode 2 Chromatic Wednesdays 25.02.2026 19:00 @top_ev_berlin Industriestraße 38, 12099 Berlin Free Entrance Theme: Unlearning and Reimagining in collaboration with TOP e.V. 19:00 - Door opening 19:30 - PLASTIVOROUS FUTURES by Bioglitch Experiments by Giorgio Alloatti, Alexandra Maciá, Xristina Sarli, and their invisible collective member Pestalotiopsis microspora (plastic-eating fungus 20:30 - "sound of undead words" and "regenerative poems. rules rhymes rhythm" live performances by Swantje Lichtenstein 21:30 - Live Performance by Auguste Vickunaite In our second event under the theme unlearning and reimagining we are diving into the basement of TOP Lab, a transdisciplinary community and Berlin’s first DIY BioLab, where we will witness three different approaches in sound and image generation. The evening will start as a journey through decay, transformation, and sound: Bioglitch stages a live feedback loop between plastic-eating fungi, polyurethane tape, and sonified genomic data, treating decomposition as a form of resistance; Swantje Lichtenstein works with voice, rhythm, and broken language to explore feminist, non-canonical knowledge and the forgotten oral roots of Western thought; and Auguste Vickunaitė closes the night with a reel-to-reel tape performance built from found sounds and field recordings, where glitches and decaying technology open space for unlearning and reimagining through sound. #bioglitch #chromaticwednesdays #top #independentculture #berlinculture
