An odd, but surprisingly pleasing, digital yet concrete contemporary collage music.
Folgespiel is the first collaboration between Sven Fritz (a.k.a. Ervin Omsk, whose debut album Peilen was published by Orange Milk in 2020 followed by Schmalster Point in 2023) and Amédée De Murcia (a.k.a. Somaticae, with records on -among others- In Paradisum, Gin&Platonic). It started - Surrealism in the time of social media - as a Cadavre Exquis game via the Signal messenger app. The two exchanged sound material and composition studies during one year. After several months a certain procedure was found: Sven usually started with non-harmonic, abstract noise and glitch sounds that Amédée then translated into MIDI, to be then played with artificial orchestral instruments.

The past 5 weeks have been incredibly intense and wonderful 💕
The journey started with Guybrush and Andrea Bruera’s lives for @clubtoclub preview at the @castellodirivoli , shout out to the light designer who made such an incredible but simple light set 💡
The week after we flew to Barcelona with our friends @archiviotipografico and performed Sinfonia Meccanica at @l_automatica and spent some magic moments catching soap bubbles on the beach. 🫧Sinfonia Meccanica stopped also in Lyon at the mesmerizing GRRRND ZERO. People were so lovely and we witnessed one of the best djset ever from the tireless @nataliappassaquin .
To end this journey we spinned some unrealeased tracks on the @stoneisland stage during the third night of @clubtoclub . It was pure magic! ✨
A big thank to all the people who made this possible and to the lovely folks we met on the way. It really means a lot to us. ❤️

Sinfonia Meccanica is a project that started six years ago and it’s constantly evolving in new shapes. On the 11th of October it will be displayed @l_automatica , in Barcelona, a magical place that share the same vision of @archiviotipografico , the place that this performance represents.
The audio-video performance is designed by @nonsonounfotografo (@sovnrecords / sound design), @studio_23.56 (visual and type design) and G (software engineering). It will be an evening that will blends the concept of noises and sounds, in a texture of vibrating sounds and lettershapes.
The event will be opened by @andreabruera with “Concert for Sleeping Brains”, commemorating the 10 years of @sovnrecords .

And what better way to celebrate than an evening of music at Imbarchino, listening to selections from friends who’ve been part of SØVN’s journey over the years?
Expect undulating surprises from the @almare.xyz collective, who will play a rare DJ set ~ from Palermo via Milan comes @_ccorrado , fresh off releasing an acidic, tribal EP on Address of Time ~ Trampa will unleash their unstoppable live act, blending minimalism and heavy rhythms ~ zarra thustra, from Marseille’s Coeur Cassé collective, brings a kaleidoscopic load of glittery beats ~ wae wae wae, the duo formed by SØVN’s founders, will deliver their post-everything, delirious and romantic sound ~ Sonambient and Chiara Mantxovas offer enveloping bass and dub spirit ~ Culto Soundsystem dives deep into tireless club culture explorations ~ and an opening set straight from the heart – and hearts – of SØVN.

SHE HAS CANDY, the debut album by CATPURSE, the collaborative project of experimental musicians Hulda Ragnhildur Hjálmarsdóttir and Sofia Zaiceva (aka Sofi). The album captures a feminine journey through a single day at sea, where each encounter materializes into an auditory body.

Elia & Francesco sono, prima di tutto, due amici che hanno deciso di trascorrere un mese insieme ad Atene. Ma sono anche due musicisti torinesi. Elia è la mente e l’anima dietro il progetto ambient AKE, mentre Francesco è co-fondatore dell’etichetta SØVN e porta avanti il suo percorso solista con il nome Guybrush.
Il loro suono è un paesaggio ipnotico dove droni atmosferici si mescolano a frammenti di pop rielaborati. Voci meditative scorrono tra bleep distorti e glitch dilatati, dando vita a un ascolto sensuale e sospeso.
Il setup è ridotto all’essenziale: pochi moduli, qualche cavo, e una forte attitudine all’esplorazione tattile. Il risultato è una forma di pop decostruito, immersa in una nebbia fatta di sinusoidi pure e synth scomposti.
SØVN records è un’etichetta indipendente che pubblica piccole tirature di musica d’avanguardia. Nata da un approccio DIY e concreto, da oltre sei anni dà vita a cassette, CD e oggetti sonori fuori dagli schemi.
Il catalogo spazia dall’ambient libero agli strumenti a corda improvvisati, passando per il techno in live-coding, l’electro-exotica, la sperimentazione percussiva e l’elettronica visionaria.
SØVN non ha mai avuto una sede fissa; vive tra Torino, Lipsia e Milano.

Recorded Live at Circolo del Design on February 24th 2023. Written in miserable Swiss hotel rooms and on lovely long train rides.
This live piece was constructed from sketches of a few electronic music systems and some compositional ideas for interacting with them/ moving through them. The sounds presented at Circolo del Design that night have served as the foundation for a body of work that Max has developed throughout 2023 and 2024, continuing into 2025.

The fourth concert at Archivio Tipografico organized in collaboration with @sovnrecords coincided with the celebrations for 10 years of tha label.
Co-founder Andrea Bruera presented an abstract set built from brainwaves detected during sleep, part of his activity as a neuroscience researcher. Raphael Roginski, following, overturned all expectations we could have about a solo guitar concert with an hour of continuous rhythmic surprises and fragments of hypnotic melodies.

Keep celebrating our 10th birthday! This time we’re bringing the visionary guitarist Raphael Rogiński to one of the most iconic venue in Torino, the Archivio Tipografico. The concert will be opened by the SØVN co-founder Andrea Bruera with his live “Concert for Sleeping Brains”.
