This record came out last week and itâs taken some time to try and express how much being a part of this project means. Instagram feels like an odd place to try and express it all to be honest but hereâs an effort at it anywayâŚ
I remember the day I heard Sylva for the first time. It was the record that made me realise I wanted to be an arranger/conductor and solidified my obsession with orchestral music.
Being a small part of the process in constructing the sister album 10 years later is still unbelievable to me. The people on and around this record felt like total family for 9 days in Utrecht (and the arranging camp in Berlin) and really felt like the most genuine version that music can be. Not to mention the playing is just ridiculous from every corner of the room!

I am a self taught musician in every sense, it is the absolute greatest achievement in my artistry to have the highest skilled musicians I know perform my music with me. I cannot even fathom how sick this is tbh :') If this isn't a nice little motivation to keep making your music whether it's in your bedroom, on a voice note or in a studio.. whether you get to study it or have to teach yourself, your expression matters and will make it to those who need to hear art like yours đ
