Our Queen Elizabeth Hall debut was something we will not forget. Singing the voices of the trobairitz in that room, with your close listening and big cheers, was a joy.
We also loved that cathedral-like resonance. Huge thanks to
@tonydbirch , inventor of the Concrete Voids system, for shaping an acoustic space within which we could feel at home.
In this programme, we shared trobairitz classics, new contrafacta, a previously unrecorded Old Roman chant, and female-perspective motets, set within a wider Mediterranean story, spanning Armenian, Greek, Corsican, Syriac and Algerian traditions.
