Album is OUT NOW and “Drumming Song” from said album is playing in the background of this selection of photos. Many amazing moments from this gig and hats off, as always, to maestro
@julesbuckleymusic Included here are some examples of Jules’ direction which always crack me up 🤣🤣
I put together a fairly unique drum set for this show and tried to cover an extremely wide sonic palette capturing the earthy, natural and medieval tones of
@florence I utilised old calf head toms, small snare and concert tom next to the usual kick, snare and regular toms. Vintage tambourines, sizzle splash cymbal and shakers featured alongside brooms, chopsticks and my homemade key ring chimes.
@istanbulagop cymbals sounded incredible as ever and I used different models to my usual kind of setup to capture what I needed for the music.
12” Traditional mini hi-hats
10” Xist dry dark hi-hats
Clapstack
7” Turk bell
20” 30th anniversary medium ride
17” Xist ION dark crash
18” Trash hit
I really enjoyed playing this kit and music with Jules’ kick arse orchestra and choir. Shout out to my band mates Chris Hill, Justin Quinn, Ross Stanley, Sam Wilson, Dan Ellis, Thomas Dunford and Tom Moth.
