Absolutely honored to be named Forbes 30 under 30 for social impact.
I started my climate work when I was a freshman in highschool. Back then, the media overlooked the climate crisis. Now, the impact of activists is undeniable.
Thank you to all who have supported me in my journey, and a huge thank you to my fellow activists who organize relentlessly to push for climate action.
Just two activists fighting for climate justice @saadamer@janegoodallinst â¨đđ
For Dr. Goodallâs #BecomingJane exhibit at the @nhmla created in partnership between the Jane Goodall Institute and @natgeo@natgeomuseum , we invited climate justice activist Saad Amer to introduce and interview Dr. Goodall about the importance and power of youth in environmental movements, including Jane's program @rootsandshoots .
Saad has mobilized millions of young people to vote on issues like climate change and social justice, and works as a consultant to the @unitednations . In his speech, he explained how Dr. Goodall inspired much of his love for nature, and shared how her message of hope has motivated him to act locally to impact the world globally. We are the moment, and we are the movement. It's time to rise up and take action!
Thank you to @vogueindia for featuring my work and creating the space to talk about climate change and sustainability.
So much of my environmental work is rooted in my south Asian heritage, from the food I eat to the research Iâve done on the ground in the Indian Himalayas.
@vogueindia also said I was dressed to the nines and a style aficionado hehe

I used to try so hard to get just a seat at the table.
That got exhausting.
So we decided to build the whole damn table instead.
We organized Federal Fire, Local Heat: An Earth Day Emergency Strategy Session inside the halls of Congress.
We brought out a dozen representatives + Senators and leaders from across the climate movement.
This wasnât just another panel.
It was strategy.
It was coalition.
It was a reminder that when systems fail to make room for us, we create new systems entirely.
At this moment, the Administration continues attacks on public health, democracy and the planet.
And they are disgustingly proud to help polluters over the people.
We wonât accept that.
Lawmakers, grassroots organizers, and movement leaders came ready with receipts, strategy, and community-driven solutions proving what real climate leadership looks like.
And weâre just getting started. đđĽ
Thank you to the Sustainable Energy and Environment Coalition, @nallelicobo and our friends at @npcapics@climatepower@ceed_justice@actonclimateus@cleanairmoms@endangeredspeciescoalition for continuing to fight at this critical moment.
This night didnât just inspire me. It reset me.
Dr. Sylvia Earle has been as inspiring force throughout my life. Her expeditions into the ocean, she has consistently set records as she explored depths of the ocean no human has ever experienced. She was the first woman to head NOAA. Standing tall at 90, she is fighting everyday for ocean conservation with @mission_blue đ
To have spent time with her, shared a meal with her, laughed with her is a dream. She even inspired me to get scuba certified đ
She was awarded The Legacy Shiftmaker award at Harvards Art Museum @theshiftison .
So excited for @lola.tung@eileengu and @oliviamunn for their work shifting the world for the better, too.

Did not expect to get Vogue to talk about the ongoing missile strikes on oil facilities.
I had the opportunity to address world leaders at the United Nations Environment @unep Better Air Quality conference in Bangkok, Thailand.
I took this moment to be stern with world leaders. The ongoing climate crisis is continuing to worsen as communities suffer from pollution and violence.
Even my travel to the conference was disrupted because the day before I was meant to leave, an airport got bombed.
Still, I took this opportunity to hold world leaders accountable.
Crazy how they always ask âhow are you gonna pay for it,â when it comes to climate and justice, but they always have money for war.
Thank you to @unep@cleanairasia for having me, @voguephilippines for highlighting my speech, and @daphnesagun@_beavaldes_ for putting it into the world.
Like pollen, a single idea can catalyze new life.
For our first story from Atmos Volume 12: Pollinate, climate justice activist and policy expert @saadamer reached out to influential voices from across climate, labor, culture, academia, and politics to share their answer to the question: Whatâs your one big idea to help us build a better future?
From rethinking the architecture of governance to designing with nature at the forefront, these experts remind us that not all solutions are about reinventing the wheel. Every idea, every resource, we already have. What we need now, more than ever, is the power of the people to stand behind them.

Thank you @bettemidler to celebrate your 80th birthday and another incredible year of @nyrp supporting community gardens and local parks across NYC.
We knew things would be bad, but they are literally destroying the Whitehouse.
I remember going to the Whitehouse this time last year to celebrate Diwali, a critical part of South Asian culture. Now theyâre deploying ICE to remove any cultures they deem âunamerican.â
Now I constantly see hateful attacks against diversity, the LGBTQ+, and womenâs rights.
We already knew theyâve destroyed the sanctity of our courts. And now our government has been shut down for weeks because our elected officials cannot get it together.
They are destroying our government from the inside, piece by piece. Morally, economically, culturally.
If youâre not outraged yet, youâre not paying attention.
We brought the heat for Climate Week!
Climate movement leader @saadamer hosted a pivotal discussion with Actor and @solutions.project CoFounder @MarkRuffalo on the state of federal climate rollbacks and how we mobilize grassroots action against autocracy.
Theo Moore of @align_new_york discussed his grassroots work in NYC, and shared his powerful Healthy, Green Schools initiative, which focuses on how NYC can lead on green jobs, quality education, and thriving communities.
At a moment where we are seeing threats to our planet, the work at The Solutions Project with the incredible @gloriawalton is continuing to fund environmental justice heroes across the country.
Congresswoman @repstansbury reminded us that democracy doesnât just happen. It is an active choice. We have to remember that it is the energy of young, diverse climate leaders that has brought the urgency of climate justice to the forefront.
The time to act is now.
It appears as though our planet is being bought and sold to the highest bidder.
Earlier this month, I testified against one of the most dangerous proposals that is rolling back climate policy.
You would think the Environmental Protection Agency was sworn to protect the environment. But under the current administration, that mission is being systematically and shamelessly gutted.
We are seeing so many sellouts to corporate polluters.
I testified against the EPA. I will continue to speak up.
My latest OpEd for @thehill
Today weâre in Syracuse! We held a town hall at the State University of New Yorkâs Environmental Science and Forestry School.
We discussed the reality of the federal climate rollbacks and how those are impacting local policy decisions and the planet. I passed out letters from @actonclimateus addressing the EPAâs environmental rollbacks. It was so exciting to see how eagerly students filled them out!
This event was timely as the university is not only experiencing attacks on its environmental work, but also against its funding. It is absolutely unacceptable that the State of New York is taking funding away from such important work. I truly do not understand how our government is attacking education.
I had the chance to meet with City Auditor @amarion1991 , who is one of the youngest people ever elected to this position. He has been pushing for environmental budgeting in the city of Syracuse. We had a productive discussion on the cityâs efforts on water quality, infrastructure developments and need to fund climate action.
Honestly the event was really uplifting.
Do not ever feel surprised at how much better youâll feel when you gather a group of like-minded folks who are passionate about the same issue.
Thank you for having me @suny.esf@esf_esso@amarion1991
