🎬 NEW VIDEO: We have hope for a thriving future we can all build - together. Narrated by @americaferrera , this powerful video celebrates the climate solutions that migrants bring to our communities. In the face of calamity, uncertainity and climate crisis, it’s easy to give into fear. But we can’t stop there. The truth is, we need each other. This moment calls for all of us to join forces. Let’s welcome new neighbors, share new solutions, and protect the only home we collectively share.

While Asian American and Pacific Islander communities are impacted by environmental injustice, they’re often underrepresented in environmental media, policy, and the broader climate conversation. But we can change things by empowering aapi activists and organizations to ensure environmentalism is truly intersectional and by doing our part to make sure environmentalism action is inclusive. Behind every frontline leader we resource, every partner we amplify, there are these people. 🍼✨
Meet some of the team making it happen at The Solutions Project.
The Solutions Project team joined organizers, artists, lawyers, tech workers, and advocates in Atlanta for Take Back Tech, to strategize the next moves in the fight against the tech oligarchy.
The conversation was clear: AI data centers are being built on the backs of communities of color. Big Tech is following Big Oil’s playbook — extracting resources, exporting harm, and counting on communities not having the power to fight back. But they do.
Communities are organizing, mobilizing, and winning. It was an honor to be at the event alongside many of our grantee partners:

Thank you to @mediajustice and @mijente for bringing together such an important gathering to tackle one of the defining issues of our time.

The protections working people have today weren't given. They were won through decades of collective action, sacrifice, and solidarity.
The labor movement and the climate justice movement are deeply connected. Both are fighting for the right to live and work with dignity, in healthy communities, free from exploitation.
Today, we honor the organizers who came before us and those pushing forward to build the future we all want and deserve.

Listen to the People on the Ground.” That is what defines @solutions.project co-founder @markruffalo activism.
On an episode of @soulboom with @rainnwilson , Mark discussed the importance of entrusting frontline communities to lead on climate solutions, the roots of his activism, and the early beginnings of the Solutions Project.
The Solutions Project is a national nonprofit supporting climate solutions created and proven effective by communities – Black, Indigenous, women, communities of color, and working-class communities – who are hit the hardest by climate change. We fund their work, share their stories, and bring more and more people into their ground up movement for a world where everyone has clean air, water, energy, and land.
Together we can create the future we want. And that starts by listening to the frontline communities on the ground most impacted by climate change. They hold the keys to the solutions.
Make sure to follow @solutions.project to help create the future we all deserve.
When things feel overwhelming, look for the helpers. 🌍

Earth Day started as a protest 🪧🌍 inspired by the civil rights movement. Let’s get into the history and how that mirrors current events.

The majority of Americans are already alarmed or concerned about climate change. The audience exists. What’s needed now is a narrative strategy that meets them where they are.
Today we’re releasing Climate Justice: The Narrative Shift — a new report built from months of conversations with grassroots organizers, researchers, communications strategists, and movement leaders about what’s working and where the biggest opportunities lie.

Our community’s heartbeat is more important than a data center’s hum. While so many of us are navigating difficult times, one thing is clear: The Future is Ours to Build. For our children, our neighbors, our communities — we need investments in health and well-being, funded schools, community-controlled clean energy, and jobs that lift us all up. Not data centers that bring crisis and chaos. Add your voice this week and help us send that message loud and clear: It’s time to #DitchTheDataCenters 🌍 #EarthWeek

We asked Mark Ruffalo where climate solutions are emerging. His answer: “Local frontline communities.”
They’re not waiting for change - they’re adapting, leading, and showing what climate action looks like in real life.
But the pressure is growing, and these stories are a critical reminder of what it will take to build a fairer, more resilient future.
From frontline communities to global boardrooms, Climate Week NYC is where climate action connects, and accelerates.
