🫁It’s Asthma Awareness Month so let’s talk about air pollution & how it impacts our health.
* Air pollution is linked to higher rates of asthma, COPD, pneumonia hospitalizations, and premature death.
* Climate change – fueled by pollution – is causing warmer winters, hotter temperatures, and poor air quality. Simultaneously, air pollution that causes ground-level ozone, or smog, travels across state lines, impacting residents in neighboring states, worsening air quality, and threatening people’s health, especially in communities of color and low-wealth communities.
* This means air quality suffers because of climate change, and we need action to tackle this problem.
We need climate action now and we need the EPA do its job to protect our health and environment. #climatecantwait
