Join us for our second workshop as part of the series Homes and Habitats: Cultivating Connection, where we will be exploring the shifting ecologies and layered landscapes of the Walthamstow Wetlands ✨ Led alongside our collaborator Lora Todorova from @londonwildlifetrust , this workshop invites participants to reflect on what home, migration and belonging mean for both human and more-than-human beings. Through a guided walking tour across the Wetlands, we will observe migratory birds, native and non-native trees, plants and surrounding habitats, paying attention to the relationships that shape this living landscape. Following a path through the reservoirs, we will get closer to these ecologies and record our experience collectively through conversations, sensory mapping, and drawing. Come ready to listen, reflect and create within a welcoming and collaborative environment ✨ The outputs from the workshop will be documented and displayed in our exhibition at Microscope Gallery, Dalston, hosted as part of the @londonfestivalofarchitecture in June. Stay tuned for more details about the exhibition over the coming weeks! Head to our link in bio to sign up for a free ticket via Eventbrite. Spaces are limited, so grab yours soon! Please also check the visitor information and access requirements for the Wetlands on our Eventbrite page before attending. If you have any questions or accessibility needs, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. 🏡 Doors open at 10:30am ⏰ Guided walking tour: 11:00am–1:00pm 📅 Saturday, 30th May 📍 Walthamstow Reservoirs, Engine House, 2 Forest Road, N17 9NH Excited to see you there! On the 5th May I will be playing a set here @micro__scope in Dalston, London. If you are free do come along. It’s a small space, it gets hot, it’s going to be very intimate. It will feature songs from both my albums and I will be helped by @vanessafarinha_art So, do come along. Tickets are still available /e/euan-alexander-millar-mcmeeken-framed-insects-album-launch-tickets-1986306593491?aff=oddtdtcreator but if you can book in advance please do as it helps to know how many have sold given the limited capacity. I don’t want anyone sitting on my knee while I play. It’s cosy enough. Hopefully see you next week. A road test of ideas for Japan. Help me figure out what works.

On 10th April my second solo album will be released digitally with the physical release in early May. Framed Insects feels like a positive progression from All The Weather Of The Human Heart but time will tell I guess. To celebrate its launch I’ll be playing a show at @micro__scope on 5th May and I’d love to see my London friends there. If you are free, come along. Show will be 8pm til 9pm and we will do drinks after - all welcome. So, hopefully see you there. It’s a warm up of sorts.

‘Clyfwchwr’ is the Welsh word uttered when it is time to begin fishing with the coracle- it describes when seven stars are visible on a clear night. Other phrases from Medieval Welsh are still heard amongst the coracle community, even between those who are not Welsh speakers. Clyfwchwr (Twilight). Tonight @micro__scope I am doing a performance reading about the making and unmaking of the horizon on Mars. I first did this a few years ago laying down on a stage in the dark. Tonight’s version is a bit different. Drop in if you are near Dalston at 7pm tonight. It’s 20 mins so you can be in the pub by 7.30pm xx

I will be @micro__scope gallery today from 2.30pm to 6pm (can stay a bit later if anyone is coming after work - let me know). A few people are coming by around 2.30pm/3pm so I will do a mini talk about the work around then. Thinking in and with this image about the mouth, speech acts, power and gaslighting. The hand that holds the mouth does not belong to the subject. Who speaks? For whom? What language does illness have to express itself? Who listens?

I am doing a performed reading of Red Shift, this Friday at 7pm @micro__scope Written in 2022, a year I mostly spent in bed, it speculates on how the horizon on Mars was stabilised as a straight line. Originally performed as part of an event at the Photographer’s Gallery, (Levels of Life: Photography, Imaging and the Vertical Perspective), Red Shift is told as a story about remote imaging, control and landscape. I am revisiting the text for my current show which explores the tension between horizontal and vertical ways of life. It’s about 15/20 minutes - bite size! Please come along. 🪐
