Every year, my birthday falls on International Women’s Day.
Which means every year I pause and think about the women who shaped my life.
The women who raised me.
The women who believed in me.
The women who challenged me to think bigger and live more bravely.
And the women whose lives I have the privilege of witnessing through my camera.
Brides stepping into new chapters.
Mothers watching their children begin families of their own.
Grandmothers holding generations together.
Over time I have realized something simple.
Women build the world around them.
I see it on wedding days.
I see it in friendships.
I see it early in the morning on tennis courts, women pushing each other, competing, laughing, becoming stronger together.
So today feels less like a birthday and more like a moment to recognize that.
To the women who shaped my life and the women rising now, I am glad to be among you.
