@functionalpatterns Have loved watching the transformation and hard work of @robert_leechin @fp_sydney @mark__labib 🏃🏽🔥🔥 • • • @robert_leechin did what most people do. He chased fitness wherever he thought he’d find it. Running. Bootcamps. Movement trends. More work, more effort, more intensity. Like a lot of people, he assumed that if he just kept pushing harder, his body would eventually reward him. Instead, his joints felt more compressed. His lower back pain worsened. His structure became less supported. More movement did not mean better movement. What changed was not effort. It was direction. Once Rob started training with @mark__labib @fp_sydney the focus shifted toward organizing the body as a system. Better positioning. Better gait mechanics. Better force transfer. Over time his body stopped fighting itself. Before: ❌ Limited hip flexion and extension ❌ Lower back pain ❌ Hip hiking on foot strike ❌ Poor lumbopelvic stability ❌ Knee valgus ❌ Poor arm drive After: ✅ Improved hip flexion and extension ✅ No lower back pain ✅ More neutral hips during foot strike ✅ Better lumbopelvic stability ✅ Improved knee alignment ✅ Better arm drive ✅ More hydrated and viscous tissue qualities A few things stood out beyond pain reduction. Rob gained lean muscle while training only a few hours per week compared to 20+ intense hours previously. Less wear and tear. More return on investment. His words say it best: “I’ve increased my lean muscle mass only training a few hours per week versus 20+ hours per week intensely previously. My lower back pain and anxiety severely reduced, and my structure feels way more supported.” Sometimes the answer is not doing more, it’s building a structure that finally works with you instead of against you. #functionalpatterns #fpisthestandard #projectfunction #fascia #sprinting

CLIENT RESULTS Improved posture, improved lower back pain, increased bone density, improved scapular winging, improved neck pain @fp_sydney I had low back pain, sciatica and a bulging disc 35 years ago after having my children. As a physio, I also had a sore neck from leaning over patients, I knew I was weak and needed to strengthen my core, back, neck, and shoulders. I did 15 years of gym and 3 years of yoga, which made my pain worse, especially my neck. Since starting FP, in December 2022, I feel and look so much stronger, I’m able to do heavy lifting without fear of injury, I can generate force and stability though my body and my posture is much better. My bone density has improved over the last 2 years. My low back pain from 5/10 to 0/10, neck pain 8/10 to 4/10, ITB pain 7/10 to 2/10, right scapula winging gone, thoracic/rib pain 5/10 to 0/10. In 2024 I hiked the Inca Trail without pain and plan many more active trips now that I am 65 and retired. Consistently training weekly has been the key and will continue to take me forward towards a long health span so that I can achieve all of my life and travel dreams. @theleverking WHY PRECISION MATTERS 📐📏 • • • I’ve always liked Japanese culture for one reason. They measure three or four times before making a single cut. There’s patience in that. A respect for consequence. If you cut wrong, you live with it. So you slow down and make sure the line is true. We don’t live like that anymore. With AI and mass production, output is everywhere. More content. More programs. More music. More noise. A lot of it feels assembled instead of crafted. Being roughly right gets passed off as mastery. Effort gets confused with precision. But being right is not the same as being precise. You can work hard and still be structurally wrong. You can lift heavy and still move poorly. You can sweat and stretch and grind, and still reinforce the same compensations that are breaking you down. At @functionalpatterns @projectfunction we measure before we cut. We refine position before we load it. We organize the ribcage before chasing shoulder strength. We align the pelvis before asking for power. Small adjustments, sometimes just millimeters, change how force travels through the entire system. When structure improves, strength stops fighting itself. Gait cleans up. Joints quiet down. Power becomes efficient instead of loud. In a world chasing volume, precision looks slow. But precision is what lasts. Measure carefully. Then move. Great work here by @jonathan__sealey #functionalpatterns #projectfunction #fpisthestandard #posture #precision

CLIENT RESULT: ONUR, Neck, Shoulder, Back, and Leg Pain improvements @fp_sydney • • • “I had severe back pain for almost 15 years and felt numb in my leg all the time. I tried many personal trainers, reformer Pilates, and lots of massages, however I still had the pain; specially in my back, neck and shoulder. I’ve been doing FP for over a year now with @jonathan__sealey and all the pain is gone. I was unable to walk for more than 5 minutes without getting leg pain and numbness. The pain level is now 0 of 10. I’m so glad that l’ve tried FP and fixed my posture. Thanks for your professional manner and patience during our sessions which made me more confident and disciplined”. Before 6/11/23 ❌ Poor joint stacking ❌ Poor intra-abdominal pressure ❌ Spine compression ❌ Back pain ❌ Neck & Shoulder pain 5/10 ❌ Leg pain & numb feeling 10/10 ❌ Unable to walk more than 5 minutes After 28/3/25 ✅ Improved joint stacking ✅ Improved Intra-abdominal pressure ✅ Spine decompression ✅ Back pain gone ✅ Neck and Shoulder pain 0/10 ✅ Leg pain 0/10 ✅ No leg numbness ✅ Able to walk pain free Onur has been really consistent and committed with his weekly training sessions, MFR and homework. Outstanding work from @alana__portelli at @fp_sydney 👏🏼💪🏽🔥 • • • @functionalpatterns @fp.evidence One of the best things you can do in life is getting ahead of problems. It’s even better when you can do it for your kids and family. This is what Anthony’s mom was able to do for him by getting him started on FP. She was worried about his pectus excavatum. It wasn’t getting any better on its own. Check out what 8 months of FP did for Anthony 👇 “My son started weekly training with Alana because we were concerned about his pectus excavatum. In the last 8 months, we’ve seen a massive change! His pectus is noticeably less depressed, he stands taller, moves better, and has grown so much stronger both physically and in his confidence. It’s been really encouraging to see how much progress Anthony has made, and we’re so thankful for the help and support Alana has given him!” These results are 8 months (28 sessions) apart. Before 14/12/24 ❌Anterior hip shift ❌Anterior pelvic tilt ❌Scapular winging ❌Collapsed arches & outward turned feet ❌Ribcage compression ❌Excessive thoracic kyphosis ❌Forward head posture After 30/8/25 ✅Improved pelvis positioning ✅Improved scapular positioning ✅More ribcage expansion ✅Better joint stacking ✅Improved head/neck alignment ✅Better thoracic extension ✅Improved foot alignment This is why we tell our followers to train in accordance to our human blueprint. When you decide to train in relation to the FP First 4, it gives you the potential to make some serious changes in your life and others. When you start treating your body as a system and stop chasing symptoms, you start to see the bigger picture when it comes to moving your body, your health, and everything you’ve learned prior to that. Great work here by @alana__portelli @fp_sydney and Anthony for putting in the hard work to make these changes possible for others to see. Changing lives one at a time is what it’s all about at FP. #functionalpatterns #fpisthestandard #projectfunction #posture #biomechanics #fascia #functionaltraining #pectusexcavatum

@theleverking SCOLIOSIS 🩻 • • • Scoliosis isn’t just a spinal issue, it’s a full-body imbalance. When tension in the body is unevenly distributed, what appears to be structural misalignment is often a breakdown in tensegrity. The fascia, which connects everything, becomes dehydrated and restricted, leading to compensations that further lock dysfunctional patterns into place. Scoliosis amplifies these dysfunctions by creating excessive tension on one side of the body, forcing compensations that alter your movement mechanics and restrict mobility. Over time, this leads to chronic pain, asymmetrical loading, and inefficient movement patterns that traditional approaches fail to address. The key to restoring function starts with rehydrating the fascia through targeted myofascial release, followed by proper movement to reinforce structural integrity, because isolating the spine won’t fix a full-body problem. If you want to get on the path towards improving scoliosis and other physical dysfunctions, jump on the @10weekonlineprogram #functionalpatterns #scoliosis #biomechanics #fascia #functionaltraining #posture
