FIG.6 invites a curator to shape the next edition of the Festival for Illustration and Graphics in Sofia. The selected curator will develop the festival’s theme, write the curatorial statement, and lead the main group exhibition, which anchors a 10-day program including a solo show, talks, screenings, and workshops. The curator will work with both Bulgarian and international artists, participate in online meetings with the FIG team, and undertake a research trip to Bulgaria for studio visits. FIG provides a €3,200 honorarium, covered travel and accommodation, and budgets for exhibition production and artist fees. An assistant curator will also support the selected applicant. The Goblet of Delusion will be exhibited as part of Chapter 1.2 of the 15th Biennale of Young Artists, curated by nada_prlja in collaboration with @sebastian.cichocki The exhibition will be open to visitors from 28 November to 12 December 2025 at the Museum of Macedonia in Skopje. .𖥔 ݁ ˖𓂃.☘︎ ݁˖ This artwork was previously part of @fig.sofia 4.0 Ambiguous Beauty, a group show curated by @vvvladimirovv and @aiko.lino in 2024. The production of the artwork was financially supported by the Ministry of Culture and the National Culture Fund of Bulgaria.

"As You Wish" Самостоятелна изложба на Пол Рийдмюлер Куратор: Вълко Чобанов 11.06 - 05.07.2025 В изложбата са представени две картини, върху които, като воден знак, са изписани техните параметри. Но за разлика от картина на кон, надписана “врата”*, текстовете на Пол Рийдмюлер са прями и фактологични. Те включват заглавието, артиста, годината, медията и размерите на произведението. Няма коварство в предаването на съобщението. Самото съобщение не е нито в картината или метаданните, вградени в нея, а резултат от тяхното съвместно съществуване. В един свръхсатуриран със съдържание свят, картините на Пол Рийдмюлер успяват да забавят погледа ни. Текстът изследва начина, по който картините му реагират на дигиталната култура, не през отхвърляне, а през абсорбация на странната ѝ логика и нейното превеждане в нещо осезаемо човешко. But unlike a painting of a horse, being captioned as a door, Paul Riedmueller’s captions are blunt and factual. They include the title, the artist, the year, the medium, and the dimensions of the painting. There is no treachery in the delivery of the message. The message itself is not in the painting or the metadata that is embedded in the painting - the point is that they exist together. In a world oversaturated with content, Paul Riedmueller’s paintings manage to slow down our gaze. This text explores the processes that are key to understanding how his paintings respond to digital culture, not by rejecting it, but by absorbing its strange logic and translating it into something that feels noticeably human again. The exhibition is realised with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture, @nationalculturefund , @acf_sofia and is part of the cultural calendar of Sofia Municipality.

Като част от @fig.sofia фестивал за илюстрация и графика, в @swimmingpoolprojects се проведе creative coding уъркшоп с @rawlab.xyz , в който участваха и графичните дизайнери на „48 часа Варуша юг! 💻👾 🫟🫆Изабела Маркова @izabela_markova_ & Тодор Георгиев @tozzionzi разработиха проект за интерактивна инсталация по темата на тазгодишното издание – „Нагоре-надолу: далеч по-близо”. ☀️И ще го представят по време на фестивала… 😎

🫂 So much has happened in this last recent year, whole lives were changed because of this club. So many people and emotions and it's sometimes hard to grasp what's happening when you're in the midst of it all. 🙌 This is a thank you to everyone, known or unknown friend out there, promoter, club, organisation and worker, that believed a space like this is needed in Sofia. We really can't believe what could be done in such a short amount of time and didn't imagine we would be here right now. ❤️‍🔥 We started as strangers, but became family. There isn't enough words in the world to express what all of this means to us, so it would be disrespectful to even try. 🥂 We love you and hope to see you today and tomorrow on DROB x FIG opening party as our closing for this season.
