First time ever at a PRS Match was this match last year. Best of Texas 2025 I was a RO on the cedar post stage. I fell in love with the sport instantly. A few months later I had a gun built and I was full steam ahead! I’m sure most people already know this but I don’t half ass anything! if I’m going to do something, im going all in and giving it my everything!
@txprecisionmatches Best of Texas 2026 was kind of special to me because it was the match that set that fire in me. I came into this match feeling good and had been shooting well my last 2 matches. After day one was complete I was sitting in 4th place amongst a field of killers. I was feeling good and seeing everything. Making the right corrections and just executing each shot.
Day 2 starts on stage 3 and it was a 10 position stage with one of the 3 targets being a 2/10th circle at 600. I dropped 2 on the stage and preceded to drop one each on my next 2 stages.
Here comes the mental mistake 😑had 2.6 and 5.6 marked on my dope card. Marked 2.6 and 4.6 on my turret! 4.6 can’t hit the target no matter what wind call you send at it 😂 lesson learned the hard way! Double check and triple check every time!!!!
Now the good! I shot to my potential on day one and proved I can hold my own amongst the top pros. The stages where I dropped one was my first shot and saw my miss and cleaned the rest of the stage. I cleaned 9 stages and dropped 1 on 7 stages. Take out the mental mistake on stage 6 and I would have had my first top 10 finish at a 2 day pro match!
