FREE WILL: MANIFESTORS OF REALITIES 👁️
“Architects of revolt, visionaries of liberation, keepers of memory. Their courage is a call to us all, a reminder that freedom is never simply granted — it must be claimed, defended, and cherished.”
Excerpt from supporting text by @knowyourcaribbean
Our ancestors, our beloved Caribbean liberation leaders are remembered not only for their courage but for their enduring legacies of collective struggle, freedom, and radical imagination. Imperfect in their humanity, they still stood for what is right. This series honours their image, as a reminder that we have free will - and even if it takes generations, we can manifest our preferred future. We are our ancestors greatest dream.
Osese wood hand-carved masks & hair sculptures designed by Asia Clarke are set to debut at the upcoming @fuzeartfair@bahamarfestival at the Bahamar, in Nassau, Bahamas from Oct 22-26, 2025.

📡 AMA’S SALON 📡 has opened its doors in Osu ✨
Designed by multidisciplinary designer and concept hair artist Asia Clarke, AMA’S SALON is a speculative site of community data sharing and personal transformation. Part of ‘Women’s Ways of Knowing the City’ art exhibition presented by @edanghana@blackfemarc this experiential installation invites you into a speculative hair salon where care, creativity, and urban knowledge intertwine.
‘You Are Invited’ is a collaborative public space co-designed and co-curated by Black Females in Architecture @blackfemarc and Edan Ghana @edanghana guiding visitors through a series of interconnected urban rooms that reimagine how women shape and experience the city.
Proud to be part of an amazing collective of artists exhibiting in this show, on view now at @edanghana until 8 January 2026.

A look inside 👁️📡 AMA’S SALON 📡👁️
In today’s world, black hair salons function as spaces of personal transformation. But what does the future *actually* hold for our sacred community spaces?
Socially, the salon is a sanctuary, a site of therapy and storytelling in our communities. Economically, black hair salons act as both transformation centers and micro-economies — essential spaces led mostly by black women. Technologically/Politically, digital surveillance and data control (especially our bio-data!) are major points of tension in our collective futures.
Through this project I invite people to question: how does the role of women leaders change given complex future trends? What happens when our most intimate data — even emotional data collected at our safe havens — becomes commodified? And what can we as community leaders, entrepreneurs, and creatives of the global Afro-diaspora do about it?
Come discuss this and more at the upcoming ✨COLLECTIVE FUTURES LAB✨ on 30.12.1025 presented by @woodxwatta & @wild_moon in collaboration with @edanghana & @blackfemarc 🌀 RSVP link in bio!
Big shout to @g.sarkodee@nicole_coffie@judahsmakeover_@smallcrowdd for translating the vision for @amassalon.2056 to another level!!

A love letter to Oseiduro 💌
In a world of cookie cutter fast fashion, @oseiduro aimed to be intentional, slow, meticulous, and thoughtful. A staple in the modern African fashion industry they stood up for the right things - like non-exploitative relationships with local artisans to equitable pay for their overwhelmingly female workforce. They aimed for sustainability and fair trade. And this is aside from the fact that all of their pieces are distinct, beautiful and timeless.
Oseiduro made way for artists like myself to test the waters in the fashion industry. Designing the PASTICHE collection last year was a dream come true. I’ll never forget the ease of flow of the creative process with their amazing team from designing to communications. I really truly enjoyed working with you all. Anyone that knows me know that Osei-Duro is my uniform.
This photo shoot features @safiniang shot by @cledoingthings , we shot this in 2023 experimenting with hair looks in and around Teshie Rasta, Accra. No better time than now to put out these beautiful images that we’ve been holding back.
It pains us to have to say goodbye to such an amazing brand, but I know the founders and the team have other amazing projects waiting to bloom. 🌸
Thank you 🙏🏾 @oseiduro
Art - What if braids could heal us? What if beauty rituals could reconfigure memory, spark joy, or awaken courage? And are the risks of sharing our brain data worth the promise of mental health?
These questions sit at the heart of Ama’s Salon, a speculative project by multidisciplinary artist Asia Clarke ( @wild_moon ). Set in 2056, it imagines an African salon as a site of healing and resistance, where the fictional BRAID2BRAIN Interface uses braid patterns to redirect neural pathways and transform emotional states.
Through Ama’s Salon, the multidisciplinary creative director braids care, code, and courage into one visionary world.
In an interview with @anastatia_n Asia tells the story of how she thought of this project all whilst nestled in the glow of motherhood.
