Email is Dead — an exhibition at the Design Museum that explores how email helps shape culture, prompting wider conversations about the future of communication and capturing a 360-view of the feelings and reactions that the format evokes.
We invited visitors to consider the look, feel, sound, and even the smell of email. The exhibit featured everything from the Queen’s first email to the origins of Airbnb, a bespoke ergonomic chair best suited for reply alls, to an email personality test — these are just a few of the playful ways we celebrated email.
