With over a decade in fabrication, Nicki brings hands-on experience in motion capture set building, where creativity meets technical precision. One standout highlight from their career includes building for Red Dead Redemption with Rockstar Games and finding inventive ways to create period-accurate sets while working within the unique constraints of motion capture technology.
Nicki is driven by collaboration and learning from the talented people around them, and they’re especially excited about creating immersive, interactive environments that bring stories to life. Their passion for imaginative world-building even extends to dream projects, such as crafting sets for Doctor Who. We’re thrilled to have Nicki’s blend of build expertise, client-focused management, and creative energy on the team. Welcome aboard!

For this part of the project, we dreamed up a space that immerses you in the daily life of a sailor at sea, a world we called Pirates’ Provisions. ⚓️
The design celebrates everything eccentric, eclectic, and exotic that a pirate might collect on their villainous adventures. Every corner holds a story, from towering cannon displays to hand-painted signs, custom maps, and provisions fit for the voyage ahead. Since the 1920s, Zeiss projectors have set the standard for planetarium technology, inspiring generations to explore the stars. The Mark V, introduced in 1966, became one of the most iconic models of its time; projecting breathtakingly accurate night skies and shaping how audiences experienced astronomy around the world. ID3 Group was honored to work alongside @fernbankscience to preserve this historic piece of astronomical storytelling, now housed proudly at their center.

With over 30 years of painting and finishing experience, Allen brings expertise in color matching, finishing, and team leadership to every project. His favorite so far? Pirates Voyage, where he loved seeing the scenic finishes come to life in full production.
Allen’s passion lies in creating immersive environments, whether it’s Gothic-inspired details or illusionist painting, and he’s dedicated to inspiring the paint team to push boundaries and deliver incredible work.

Working on the SCAD Story Atlanta Skyline was an amazing and challenging adventure from a technical standpoint,” says Kevin. Did you know ID3 can design and fabricate kinetic sculptures? From concept development and mechanical engineering to fabrication, installation, and lifecycle testing, Kevin, one of our senior technical designers played a key role in bringing the moving cityscape to life. His dedication and expertise helped ensure every motion synced seamlessly with lighting, projections, and show control, creating a spectacular final experience.
ID3 Group was honored to build a accurate model replica of the @fireflyaerospace iconic Blue Ghost lunar lander model for its monumental Nasdaq debut on August 7, 2025. Installed in the heart of New York City, this piece stood as a symbol of innovation, precision, and the bold spirit that drives Firefly to launch, land, and operate in space.
