We’re doing things a little differently this year... In an effort to keep the festival a bit more sustainable, we’ve ditched the paper maps. Instead, you can explore everything right from your phone! Keep an eye out for QR codes posted all around the festival and throughout town. Just give them a scan to learn about the new 2026 murals as you find them. If you’re looking to see all the new pieces in one go, we’ve put together a quick walking path map [Link in bio] that hits most of the new spots: Beto Conejo @ SSL City Hall (220 E Morris Ave) Naomi Haverland @ Element Ring (2890 S Main St) Curtis Hylton @ Suspension Syndicate (124 Beryl Ave) Ashley @ Boxey (2720 S West Temple) Christin Apodaca @ Alpha Graphics (2945 S West Temple) Katie Green @ Material (2990 S West Temple) Birdcap @ Woodrow Wilson Elementary (2567 S Main St) Shaandiin Powell @ Central Park Community Center (2797 S 200 E) Mauricio Ramirez @ Concept Property Management (2801 S Main St) Lucas Aoki @ 2511 S West Temple (across from Level Crossing Brewery) There’s one more you definitely can’t miss! Sophie Nebeker is over at Go Pave Utah (2575 S 900 West). It’s a little further out than the others, so we recommend hopping on a bike or taking a quick drive over there to check it out. We can't wait to see which one ends up being your favorite. Tag us in your photos as you explore! If you want a map of ALL Mural Fest Murals, check out our website at sslarts.org/mural-fest #MuralFest2026 #SouthSaltLake #SSLArts

You can’t have a party without music! We’re so excited to introduce the mainstage musicians of Mural Fest 2026! From Irish punk to EDM and counter Country, these musicians span a wide array of genres, but each one promises to keep you dancing with groovy, energetic tunes all day long! @murphyandthegiant serving up Irish-inspired punk, kicking off the party with a bang from 2 to 3pm @pfuzzofficial Solo violin meets Ableton Live for a classically-infused EDM dance party from 3:15 to 4:15pm @lightenup.francis bringing it back to the early 2000’s with fun, face-melting alt rock from 4:30 to 6:00pm @furfoxenmusic playing us to the end with some counter country, aka “rock and roll with a dash of Texas.” 6:30 to 8:00pm Don’t forget the street performers! Beyond the Main Stage, you can catch them at every new mural location as you explore the city. See you on May 9th! #Muralfest #muralfest2026

Now that you’ve had a chance to meet all 11 artists for this year, we’re ready to actually get everyone together! Join us on May 9th from 2 to 8 pm for Mural Fest. We’ll be hanging out on W Commonwealth Ave, right by the Commonwealth Room @thecommonwealthroom There’s going to be live music (wait til you see this lineup!), local vendors, and bike rides, plus plenty of cold drinks. It’s always a great day to see how the new murals turned out and revisit some of the ones from the last few years. Hope to see you out there! #muralfest2026 #utahfunactivities #familyfun

This week we visited @soar.ne ‘s gigantic mural completed for this year’s @themuralfest in South Salt Lake. She and apprentice artist @campestral.art put up this massive piece and made it look easy. See this beautiful piece yourself at @gopaveutah , 2575 S 900 West (alley on north side of building). This is just one of Sophie’s public works you will see around Salt Lake City (and as we learned, more are coming soon đŸ€«). Sophie is a multi-disciplinary artist who’s work spans across a range of mediums and sizes. She’s very active in community building and engaging environmental issues by working with many organizations, such as @sevencanyonstrust and @wakegsl . Thank you Sophie for all you do in our community and inspiring the Artist Run Club SLC!

✹New mural in South Salt Lake for @themuralfest ! ✹ Hands reach, figures suspend, and little worlds are built. Spaces between distance and intimacy, tracing the ways we search for one another. This project was a blessing from start to finish, with many serendipitous moments, wonderful new friends, and a serious boost for my spirit đŸŒŹïž Over the past eight months, I’ve been in a state of uncertainty about whether I would be able to keep creating murals while navigating my health. This wall in Utah became more than a mural to me, it became proof that there are still ways forward, even if they look different than before đŸŒč What made this experience so meaningful wasn’t just the painting itself, but the care surrounding it. The mural fest team met me with genuine accessibility and support: extending my installation timeline, helping coordinate assistance, making space for rest days, and working with me so the process could be sustainable for my body <3 Huge thank you to entire @themuralfest team @allenarts.me @southsaltlake for helping carry this mural into existence. And to all the hands and hearts that carried me - I truly could not have done it without you. Special thanks to: @jscheuerman for the paint donation Saint Cody for the assistance and support @material_contemporary for the opportunity to exhibit my work Gale for welcoming my mural on his building @jackie_sumell for the visit and the love @jetpackjohnson_ for the amazing footage Go check out the other artists that participated in the fest - truly blown away by their talent! @birdcap @naomihaverland @lucasaokiart @perhaps.knot @mauriciopaints @tiny_shley @christin.m.a @curtis_hylton @betoconejo_ @soar.ne #muralfest #southsaltlakeutah #katiegreenart

@betoconejo_ Get to know Beto Conejo painting at South Salt Lake City Hall today 2-8 pm! . “There’s a message written in the constellations of this mural. The diploma is the brightest star in the sky, like a North Star, serving as our guiding goal. Here in Utah, we live in a growing urban city, but we have to remember that we are right in the middle of this great wilderness. We are surrounded by sweeping deserts and mountains, and we share this space with the world’s best wildlife. That’s why you’ll see the bighorn sheep, mountain lion, and red fox featured right in the foreground of this piece. I want people to interpret this work however it speaks to them, but for me, there is a deliberate juxtaposition here. It explores how we can use our education to protect our wildlife and Utah in general. So, I hope people see that reaching our guiding star isn’t just about personal success. It is about using the knowledge we gain to preserve the wild spaces (Utah) we call home.” . Beto’s finished work is featured at 220 E Morris Ave on the South Salt Lake City Hall (parking lot wall facing north). . đŸŽ„ @jetpackjohnson_

South Salt Lake’s diversity and commitment to creative placemaking really resonate with my practice, and I look forward to engaging with the neighborhood, collaborating with other artists, and creating a mural that reflects the energy and character of the city.” . Mauricio’s finished work will be featured at Concept Property Management at 2801 S Main Street. . đŸŽ„ @jetpackjohnson_

@christin.m.a Get to know more about Christin Apodaca featured at Alphagraphics
“I’m most excited about creating something that lives within the community and becomes part of its daily rhythm. Public art has such a unique power, it belongs to everyone. Being part of Mural Fest means contributing to a collective visual story and getting to connect with other artists and residents in a meaningful way. I love watching how a mural can shift the energy of a space and invite people to pause, reflect, or feel seen.” “If you ever see me working on a wall, please come say hi, I love hearing people’s stories and connecting in real time.” Christin’s finished work will be featured at 2945 S West Temple at Alphagraphics (on the east side of the building). đŸŽ„ @jetpackjohnson_

@birdcap Get to know more about Birdcap featured at Woodrow Wilson Elementary. . “Getting to meet up and paint alongside different artists from around the world! This job is great, but it’s very specific. There’s not a water cooler where I can check in with other people in the field, so mural festivals have become de facto work conventions. I’m also excited to meet new people and try to get new eyes on my work!” . Birdcap’s finished work will be featured at 2567 S Main Street on the west side of Woodrow Wilson Elementary. đŸŽ„ @jetpackjohnson_
