At the end of 2025 I had the opportunity of participating in 'States of Assemblage' exhibition @unit2stleonards curated by @laurencetidy Taking part on @statesofassemblage was a great way of finishing the artistic year with such a diverse, fun and thoughtful show. The array of artists and assemblage work was quite something to celebrate. Want to give special thanks to the curator for the great work he did! Wishing everyone participating in the show, the gallery space and everyone seeing this show a creative 2026! More Art coming soon 😁💜 . . . . . . . . . #artexhibition #groupshow #assemblage #cyanotype #contemporaryart

‘States of Assemblage’ opens at Unit 2 next week! The exhibition features 31 artists working across a range of media and practices, including assemblage, sculpture, collage, print and found materials, expanded painting, artist books, installation, video, and textiles. In each of their languages, the works chosen connect in a visually engaging manner with the exhibition focus of assemblage art and assemblagist artist practices in and around Sussex. The exhibition was motivated by the idea of taking a fresh look at the term ‘assemblage’ through the varied vocabularies of contemporary artists who relate to the term. In its timing and promotional material, the show also references the pioneering 1961 exhibition ‘The Art of Assemblage’ at The MoMA in New York. As we near the end of 2025, this exhibition marks 65 years next year since the MoMA show, albeit in a distinct and specific locale, and asks us to consider our current ‘States of Assemblage’. Opening: 6-10pm Fri 12.12.25. Drinks provided & everyone invited. Runs: 11am – 6pm Sat 13.12.25 & Sun 14.12.25.
