six spikes - a bunch of knobs I have been very fortunate to exhibit my piece as part of a super exciting and creative project which has, over the past 5 days, been touring around Milan Design Week ! The exhibition showcased fifty knobs attached to a single door moving from district to district, curated by @zaccaria_slater 21- 25 april 2026 “a bunch of knobs” is a travelling exhibition that stems from the belief that everyone should be able to get their foot in the door of the design world, democratising the ability to exhibit your work during one of the busiest design events of the year. We have used the doorknob as a way to show how creative thought can be applied to the most overlooked of items. Juhani Pallasmaa tells us, “the door handle is the handshake of the building” yet most people never change the doorknob from the one which came with their home. Maybe, in the nomadic life we now often lead, we should buy door knobs for life and take them from home to home. Thank u to Zac for your brilliant vision and to everyone who spotted the door during its journey x

Slate carvings from Eryri These works were all made in-situ during my time at @hafod_art_studio_ in North Wales. In the valley above where I was staying were the sprawling and once heaving slate mines of Blaenau Ffestiniog. Slate stones are used for all the buildings round here, colossal slabs larger than me guard entrances and pave church yard grounds, and slate tiles adorn all the cottage roofs. Engraving into the slate was a natural choice following my usual wood scratching activities. The soft material is incredible satisfying to use and can hold the softest of marks. I also collected a lot of materials while in these mountains to draw from including lichen, found pottery shards, oak galls, Japanese cedar fronds, and fallen yew branches. Thanks so much to Noelle and Dicker for showing me this wonderful place and your knowledge of the local forests and mountains 🙏

My artwork is currently on display at Plas Brondanw for three weeks alongside my residency at Hafod Art Studio " These works depict objects, flora and fauna, and the patterns found in both the natural world and urban environments. Interacting with one another and overlapping creating a cacophony of things. Many of these works are made through a process of carving or scratching into found wood, then rubbing pigment such as chalk or paint into the grooves. After wiping away, the drawings, natural grain, and traces of use are revealed. " @hafod_art_studio_ @plas_brondanw

drawings from the medina I recently spent a week roaming an 8th-century walled city covered in endless repeating tile patterns, street stalls adorning handmade textiles, dars and riads, drying leather, sacred kittens, and giant stone walls held up by ancient wooden beams. pencil and pen on aged paper

Boats made from driftwood, wood offcuts and washed up plastic and four ink drawings 🛶 I recently made these four models of different types of boats just using the scraps and offcuts of wood around my studio from other projects. The first and largest so far is an outrigger. A piece of black eroded plastic acts as the sail of a sailboat, dark stained plywood becomes the deck of a trawler boat.
