Bringing a new Chippu EP into this world today 🌝 I introduce you to “Musing” Many of you might have seen me play this as a live set over the last spring and summer, because @xochi.de.la.luna upgraded my life by asking me to perform some solo material for an @enter.the.void.mn show. I got to play this set almost half a dozen times throughout the cities and overwhelming the support I’ve received from this beautiful community brings me to tears, as this is very emotional music for me. Seer here with a Jimmy appreciation post! We will be releasing our second album, ‘Yule to Litha’ in less than a week, and i wanted to make a post highlighting Jimmy, the witch behind the veil- askSERPENT was borne when James conjured up a (now lost) project where they took my first attempts at recording noise and collaged their own textural synth noise and vocals into it. we immediately turned to bibliomancy, two words struck out like a copperhead, we had our answer. Since then James has tracked, mixed and arranged HOURS of our noise, meticulously layering and EQing & more far beyond my own comprehension. i owe so much to them, they pour so much of themselves into our work & it’s a constant inspiration to be in their presence. I can not wait for y’all to hear what they’ve been doing. we’re gonna perform a piece off our new album at New World 3/25 DM for the address! i’m so lucky and proud to get to work with you Jimmy, i love you @sm__chip <3
