Quick Study is a performance series that examines how the audience and performer make sense of dance, or whether sense-making is necessary at all. Drawing from infant cognition research, early experiences, and a lifelong obsession with dance, Maggie Zepp loosely measures audience engagement and invites viewers to consider their own methods of interpretation.

All shows are free. Attend one night or all three—each show is different. Seating is first-come, first-served. Shows are roughly 30 minutes - just a quick study.

We recently installed (4) hanging microphones in Resource (big shout out Simon Brooks @speedy.gorgonzola ) and have been experimenting with recording live performances for the broader purpose of archiving the sounds and energies moving through the space.
The combination of the room mics in addition to pulling output directly from our mixing board has yielded some satisfying results.
Fridays from 10am - 4pm I will help run sessions. Sliding scale $50 - $150 /hr. You get the raw audio files. 4 tracks of room mics, 2 tracks from the board.

Announcing our summer film screening residency at Resource called the Conjunction Cinema Club! We will be showing 3 films and pairing each film with a snack and/or drink that is featured or inspired by the film. We hope that by breaking bread together with the film shown we create an environment for better understanding and connection within community. Whether you are offering tips on a specific topic, have something to promote, or need support, this is a fun and safe way to meet others in the community. Together, we will unearth the variety of talents and expertise that already exist in our city. It’s OK to just show up — you don’t need to have any experience in organizing. No prep necessary. Your listening presence is enough and welcome. Hosted by Priscilla Trinh (she/her), Director of Communications at the Post Growth Institute.
Demo will start shortly after 7pm, followed by music and dancing around 8:30pm.

Years ago I ran a poetry newsletter called "Silt Rifle," stylized as a facsimile of "The Floating Bear" edited by Diane di Prima and LeRoi Jones (1960s).
Silt Rifle accepted online submissions and I held the responsibility of curation, arrangement, design, printing and shipping.
Stone Poets is a reimagining of this format as a group effort anchored in a shared physical space. We will begin by hosting (3) monthly meetings this summer at @resource_mpls :
