The Saami Brothers.
It was such an honor to create images for @saamibrothersqawwalofficial and Ustaad Naseeruddin Saami, a living legend.
I wanted the photos to preserve the beauty, healing and entrancing energy of Khayal and Qawwali— Images that felt like you could get lost in the Saami brother’s passion for the art. Creating these photos felt like a dance with their voices as I followed their eyes and their hand gestures. Dream set, dream project and dream team.

I never share much besides my work, but we’re changing that! I love the idea of transparency in this career, and by sharing glimpses of what I have been up to might help make this industry more honest about the craft and lifestyle that can come with it. Here are updates on what I’ve been working on / doing this past year.
Image 1 & 2- I got a haircut!! I love my long hair but right now, this feels very me and has been making me feel the most at home in my own body.
Image 3- Moved to San Francisco this past year and see the beautiful GGB almost everyday. ☺️
Image 4- Saw Lorde for the 4th time, my favorite artist ever, and remembered why I love doing what I do. Her dedication to her art is contagious.
Image 5- Explored new projects with @aditimayer and grateful for evolving together.
Image 6- Started making my own lattes and trying to get better at latte art!!!
Image 7- Entering a new era that feels aligned to the root of why I began photography — beauty. I’m currently learning the foundation of the industry, and once I do I’m excited to make it my own and expand the definition of what beauty is. It feels like starting over.
Image 8- Been reading “On the Creative Life” by Sally Mann. It’s a humble book and makes me feel better about the realities of being a photographer. Someone so profound in the industry is just a normal person like the rest of us.. who knew? :0
Image 9- Created images for personal work in a long time. More to come soon!
Image 10- Aside from freelancing, I started a part time at @pureciousjewelry . It’s been a humbling experience bc although I have been doing photography for 14 years, jewelry is a whole new world. I also truly believe every opportunity is a way for growth, it’s never embarrassing for a photographer who has worked with clients such as Netflix, Disney, Oura, etc. like myself to work at a company. Every opportunity is growth!
Image 11- Co creating @HoldMe_Tender with @sheilbs !! This one has brought so much growth and lessons, but also will share more as we go.
Image 12- Filling up my work space with images and notes that will help me continue to evolve. 🤍
Image 13- me feeling like me!

Went back to low aperture and lush greens just like I was drawn to when I started photography. These photos feel like more refined and elevated versions of the work I was making ~2018/2019 and it’s very refreshing. Sometimes you just have to take a pause on doing things the way you’re used to, and come back to it. 🤍
I’m happy to share that we’ve welcomed a new talent, Simrah, to the Purecious family!
As a designer founder whose very first job was in photography, visual storytelling has always been a central part of building Purecious. It has shaped how we share our work, our process, and the meaning behind every piece we create.
Now, I’m excited to bring someone onto the team who can truly elevate this vision. Simrah’s eye and creativity will help enrich the way we tell our story, and I’m especially happy to finally pass along my photography duties to someone who does a better job! Here’s to growth, collaboration, and the beautiful things ahead. ✨
