#Grounded: Climate storyteller Aditi Mayer and director Simrah Farrukh collaborate on a lyrical stream of consciousness that meditates on home, displacement, and erasure - set against intimate portraits of home, both as architecture and ecology šæā

Speaking at Photo Vogue Festival this March in Milan, where Iāll be exploring how fashion can resist erasureāof climate, craft, and cultural memory.
In that same spirit, this conversation sits at the heart of something Iāve been building: a space dedicated to archiving artisanal legacies as acts of resilience. More soon. š§æšŖ”šš§µš„¹

Mallorca with my favorite craft uncles from Kutch š
These folks have done so much to put their craft traditions on the global mapā living culture bearers and the warmest humans. Weāre all here for @_xtant_ , a global gathering celebrating heritage textiles and centering the makers themselves.
I still remember attending for the first time two years ago, when @vankar_vishram_valji stopped me to say the outfit I was wearing had been spun and woven by him. Later that day @abdullahkhatri.sidrcraft gave me my first masterclass in bandhani dyeing.
Thatās the kind of fashion world I believe in.
Big love to @lov.foundation for bringing me back this year, and to @mateatme for capturing these moments through Palmaās windy streets š
Circular fashion often focuses on materialsā but the real story is about people.
At @homeboyindustries , the @homeboythreads program is rethinking what fashionās afterlife can look like: garments diverted from waste streams, and new pathways created for individuals rebuilding their lives after incarceration.
Storyteller and advocate @AditiMayer joins Hector Verdugo in conversation for the @GUESS Advocacy series about second chances, circularity, and the human stories behind sustainable fashion. #LoveGUESS #GUESSEco
Me for @theworldofzazi SS26 shot by @raajadharshini š
The last few months in India have been marked by beautiful creative flowā and side quests every weekend into the worlds of others.
On this day, I got to play muse for @jeannedekroon ās latest collection created in collaboration with @heenaagrima : dreamy silks dyed with natural botanicals. Together, we imagined the shoot as an homage to Indian miniature paintings that have long explored intimacy between women, architecture, flora and fauna.
The ladies said nature is never a backdrop, but a participant! Flowers are symbols! The feminine is not just a spectacle! š£ļø And to be photographed by the iconic @raajadharshini ā truly, I love the world through a womanās eye šļø
Postcards from Punjab ā¤ļø Been off the grid for a minute, but today Iām wrapping four months in India building the next chapter. MY GOSH what a season of stretching and evolution itās been! Years in the making.
More soon but for now, just know that few things make me feel as electric and filled as creating in the motherland does. WHAT A GIFT ā¤ļø
Honored to speak on āReviving Place-Based Craftsmanshipā for @eileenfisherfoundation ās online summit The Future of Clothing: Regenerative by Design š
In my session, Iāll be talking about a major project years in the making that I can wait to share more about publicly soon. š„°
This summit explores how we can design garments, supply chains and ways of being that support regenerative fashion systems. Register today at the link in my bio or comment REGISTER below and Iāll DM you a link ā¤ļø
Honored to be a mentor for @netaporter ās global mentorship program, The Vanguardā and to be paired with @heirlome alongside fellow mentor @gabrielahearst ā¤ļø
Few things give me as much joy as female creatives championing artisan craft. Excited to learn more about the world and artistry of @stephaniesuberville and her work with Latin American artisans.
As I said in the article⦠craft isnāt not nostalgia, itās design intelligence accumulated over generations.
Sharing a few images from a 2024 @netaporter editorial shot by @jameelaelfaki ā grateful for collaborations that circle back in new ways ā”ļø
A weekend in Sri Lanka with @lovebirds.studio was a masterclass in building a design language.
Founders @gursy@bunkiy immersed us in designs of celebrated architect Geoffrey Bawaā father of Tropical Modernism, aka: blurring the lines between the indoors and outdoor, championing local & natural materials⦠environment as northstar.
The show was held at Lunuganga, Bawaās home, where the collection was in conversation with the space itself. When architecture and clothing speak the same language⦠chefās kiss šš¤š½š
